Will You Accept This Bachelorette Recap? Katie’s week 3 Dates, Blake and Dude Drama

Okay so I think this is going to be an every other week recap! These episodes go nicely together cause they’re all dates from the same elimination round... but it was over 2 weeks.

The first group date was the “Nick Circle” date as the Chatty Bros have named it- in which Nick Viall makes the guys open up about their secrets that could effect their relationship with Katie. The other group date was a more fun one where the guys played Truth or Dare- but really just Dare. And her one on one was with Michael- the single dad that she had a nice chat with Night 1 but didn’t have a date with during the first week. I’m going to go out of order for this recap since the dude drama takes place mostly over the 2 group dates… so I’m going to start With Michael’s one on one.

So the one on one was really cute and Katie seemed super smitten with him after. It was some sort of off roading adventure I guess in the desert. During the nighttime portion of the date Michael let Katie know that he became a single dad after his wife sadly passed away from cancer. It was really sad- but Michael just seemed very confident about his feelings for Katie and ready to be in a relationship again. I believe he said something along the lines of “I would be so lucky to have 2 great loves.” or something along those lines… it was adorable. He seemed like a real sweetheart and he got a rose for the date and Katie left feeling Smitten.

There was also a nice moment between Michael and Mike before the date where he told Michael about his wife’s passing. It was nice to see the men opening up even though they weren’t on the Nick Circle date. Plus I like seeing the guys being such good friends to each other. They seem like a good group.

Despite me thinking they’re a good group of guys- there had to be another villain and that was discovered on the Nick Circle Group date. Hunter opened up about his divorce and how he felt that he had neglected his wife when he was married. Connor B opened up about a dark place in his life when he was drinking a lot and i believe he confessed about cheating on his girlfriend. Aaron opened up about a family member of his that I believe passed away from a stroke. Thomas on the other hand opened up about not really being there for the right reasons… he said he went on a date before the show, he thought of it as more of a platform- and he didn’t think he’d fall for Katie- but he did have feelings for her and now he was in it for the right reasons. But also a platform.

The guys were NOT a fan of this response. And Thomas didn‘t really talk his way out of any trouble… which I’ll get to in a bit.

Katie also confessed that even though the men see her as this “sex positive” confident woman- it took her a long time to become sex positive because she was in a situation where there was no consent. And she even tried forming a relationship with the man that did that too her after because she was in denial- and after that she didn’t like sex and she didn’t like talking about it. But now she’s at a place where she can talk about it and she’s happy. Some guys that pulled her aside asked her how she felt after that… which was sweet. Connor B ended up receiving the group date rose after that.

Thomas on the other hand- dodged the question about having red flags… and Katie called him out on it… and he still never gave her an answer. He then interrupted Aaron’s time… which is totally a producer move because Aaron is the worst person he could have interrupted. He also made some speech about Fear and Love and then told the guys that he told Katie he was falling in love with her… which he didn’t. It was just… a lot of bad things all coming together that didn’t make him look great. Later on the guys ask if he ever thought about being the bachelor to which Thomas answered yes… because of corse he did! Everyone has thought of that!

The next group date was definitely a Bro group date. The guys were all having a blast with the dares. They had to wax each other, eat 2 jabenero peppers and propose to Katie, they had to eat a ton of twinkies and Fettucine Alfredo. It was all really funny… until Tre mentioned that he wanted to tell Katie about Thomas saying he wanted to be the Bachelor. Andrew S got upset about this because Katie can make her own decisions and he didnt think focusing on another guy was a good use of Tre’s time in developing his relationship with Katie. The other guys sided more with Tre and Katie ended up giving Tre the group date rose. I don’t think she gave him the rose just because he told her that… I think it’s more just she can’t give all her date roses to Greg and Andrew.

Also in all of this- Blake Moynes from Tayshia and Clare’s season asks if he can join the show because he really likes Katie and wants to see if he has a connection with her. Tayshia let’s Katie know about Blake since Blake is Tayshia’s ex. Blake is also known for talking about sex and would have probably met Katie in paradise had they gone there. I’m pretty sure Blake is going to make it to hometowns and fantasy suites… so I hope he and Katie do well together.

Anyway… I don’t think I mentioned the Rose ceremony from the beginning of the episode with the Nick Circle and the one on one date… But in that- upon receiving his rose Mike let’s Katie know that all the men have unionized and believe that Carl is lying to Katie about a man being in the house for the wrong reasons. Katie was planning to keep Carl- but eliminates him… showing she believes her guys. I also love that Mike was the one that said it to katie. The guys all had to have figured he was a safe bet to get a rose and gave him the responsibility of doing that… which was funny and genius. In that rose ceremony she also eliminated John-

who everyone seemed to love and gave applause after he left… it was sweet- the guys are good friends already.

OHHHHH and when Carl is eliminated- he looks at the guys kind of looking for a hug or a reaction like the other guy got. Then he just stares at Katie for a bit- doesn’t break eye contact but also doesnt talk or go to hug her or shake her hand… and just leaves after lingering a bit. It was strange.

In the rose ceremony for this episode she calls Thomas last… and then tells him his bachelor auction is over and tells him to get out. While not giving anyone that rose… although I guess it kind of went to Blake since she decided to let Blake stay. She also eliminated one of my favorites: Christian. He was hot…i hope we see him in Paradise without a shirt.

That is it for this recap. can’t wait to watch tonight’s episode… I think she has her first date with Blake which should be fun.
