What I watched in February

Okay so in February I saw 8 movies, 1 tv show and 2 big sporting events... so I'm going to do this a little differently than last month because I saw 2 movies in theaters and one is on my worst list... so I'm not going to list those separately. I'll talk about my 5 best, discuss the 2 sporting events and then my 5 worst.

Okay so I'm just going to do this in order of what I liked the most to what I liked the least.

Top 5

1)Mr. And Mrs. Smith-

This was the only tv show I watched completely this month and I loved it! This is my favorite show I think I've seen in a long time and it was a good way of retelling this classic spy story. Donald Glover was great, the chemistry between the two leads was great. I loved it!

2) Babylon-

I was surprised I liked this movie so much! I had no real interest in seeing it because the trailers didn't do a good job showing what the movie was about... but I'd just say ignore that and if you like movies about old movies and if you liked La La Land- watch this. It's long but it was a good movie!

3) Dune

I feel like I didn't pay that much attention to Dune but I did really like the movie. The characters were good, my boyfriend read the book and he liked it. I'm excited to see part 2 this month. I feel like I may have enjoyed other movies on this list more- but I realize dune is a better movie all in all.

4) Thanksgiving

This was a fun movie. Great opening scene, great villain and a great villain reveal- although I can't say I really thought his motive was the best... I liked this movie a lot overall and I definitely want to watch it again this Thanksgiving!

5) Madame Web

Unironically I loved this. It was definitely so bad it's good. This might be my real second favorite of the month... but it doesn't deserve to be... I think had I seen the other movies in theaters I would have liked them a little more or just as much.

The sporting events

This might be the only time this is on my list... especially since I've never really seen a live sporting event before and I'm not sure I really plan to again... BUT here they are!

The Big Game LVIII

So there was a football game and an usher concert and the usher concert was really good and the football game was okay. It got more exciting in the second half.

World Championship Sumo

This was exciting to see live! My boyfriend saw Sumo Wrestling was coming to NJ and we decided it'd be fun to see. We were really curious about it! It was international- so there were a lot of wrestlers from different places and it was fun to see! The sumo wrestlers had great personalities as well! It's fun to follow them now that I know them!

Bottom 4

I'm still going to do this from best to worst... so the last movie is the one I liked the least.

Dicks: The Musical

I really loved the first half of this movie... it was the last few minutes that I thought went a little too far and too weird. I was cracking up at first- I thought this could have been a favorite for the month but... it just wasn't. I would still recommend this and watch it again- but the last few minutes aren't great.

Journey to Bethlehem

This movie wasn't made for me... if this were out when I was in Catholic School- it would be something I would be excited to watch every year... but it wasn't. This is a musical rom com about Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus. This was fine. The music was okay... it wasn't too long. It was a little boring but if you're watching it at church or in Catholic school- you'll have fun with it.

Aloha

I didn't pay much attention to this... but I think if it weren't for Emma Stone playing an Asian woman and kind of a disrespect to the native Hawaiians in general... this movie might be an okay cozy drama.

Argylle

This was my least favorite thing I saw this month. I was just really disappointed. Especially since half the movie has Bryce Dallas Howard's character doing absolutely nothing but holding a man's hand while he did all the work. I do like the kingsman movies and I would still say this isn't awful enough to completely disregard and not watch- but it was not good by any means.

So that's everything I watched in February. March should be a good month too for watching things.

Bye!
