Weekly Favorites: 10.8.21 Frugal, Fancy, Fragrance, Fashion Favorites Friday!
Another week- another favorite! Next week will be the last of my 20s! Can't believe that! Anyway... lets just get right into it!
Frugal
My Frugal favorite of the week is probably the Catrice Trueskin Hydrating Foundation. I just really like how this looks and how it lasts. It's been a favorite before- but it's just too good. I love it!
I also want to mention the Not Your Mothers Curl Talk line... I need to do an updated Curly Haircare routine- although I'm not actually sure I've ever done one on this blog before so maybe it's not a re-do... But this is good!
Fancy
My fancy favorite of the week is the Sydney Grace Tiny Marvels Palette. This was created by a youtuber named Mel Thompson who had... some of the best videos and reviews on makeup. She did a lot of luxury product reviews but also a lot of indie brands... plus in general she just had an awesome personality and everyone seemed to be her friend on the internet. Last week on Sunday I believe she passed away and... I'm still really sad about it. I know she was open about her chronic pain and her recent health ailments- as a casual viewer I did not really know this about her until recently but... it's still shocking that she was only 35 and she is no longer with us. I feel so bad for her family and for her internet friends like Kelsee Briana Jai. Her last video was a Wayne Goss palette review and Wayne Goss delayed the release of the palette. I'm just sad for her passing. And I broke out this palette because it's honestly one of the best palettes and... its so nice for fall too. I have to take pictures of the one look I did with it because I forgot to do that... but I love this palette and recommend it 100%!
Fragrance
Replica Coffee Break. I love how this smells... it's a unisex perfume- which I kind of like... I just think its special. I think I'm going to get a full size for my birthday... it's expensive but I'm almost out of my mini...
Fashion
I probably have a lot... I might do a smithville Haul because I went to Smithville this week... I might have posted that already... I'm not sure. I'm just going to pick out one thing of everything I got for this though and it's my Hair Barette from a store called The Smiling Llama. It is made out of a gourd- its really big and has a cool design and I really like it a lot! I actually thought I lost it on the way to lunch... but the man at the store actually forgot to hand it to me and held onto it for me until I came back in after lunch... which was just really nice- so I was happy to not have lost it. It was good!
Favorites
Last week was kind of rough. I had a tough situation at work... which I think I did well with... then something happened while I was shopping at Walmart with my boyfriend... and I think we're going to post something together on what happened there because... it's important and his perspective is important too... so yeah. But anyway amidst all that- I did have 2 really great events that happened. The first was a family dinner party at my cousin's house! She bought the house last year during the pandemic and now we're all vaccinated and keeping safe she could finally have us over! So that was a lot of fun- my parents were there, my grandmother, my boyfriend, my sister and her family were all there. My little niece was playing with my youngest cousin... it was just a lot of fun.
The other thing was obviously Smithville- my mom and I went up with some of our friends and I shopped... a lot. It was for their Oktoberfest craft fair. It was great. I will probably do a post on that if I haven't already.
Alright- so that is everything! I hope you guys like this post- I hope you have a great week- and I will try to post again tomorrow!
Bye!
-Shannon
