Alright- so Disney Plus has a bunch of new TV shows on Disney+ and they're all pretty good. I haven't seen The Mighty Ducks yet but my parents like that one too. Anyway this show stars John Stamos as a coach that was fired from his job as a coach at a college basketball team for throwing a chair that hit the referee and he gets a job at a Girls Prep School.
He's really tough and you can see that in the first episode- but he really wants to get through to the girls and to get them to actually care about the game and do a good job with it. He's tough but he's a good guy and he cares about the students.
The show actually reminds me of a show I really liked called Rise which was on NBC. The teacher- played by the guy that plays Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother- was a kind of tough teacher that had the kids do Spring Awakening as their musical... and Spring Awakening is a very sexualized play and a lot of people in the school were mad about it. The teacher/student dynamic kind of reminds me of that show. The kids all respect their new coach even though he's kind of tough and kind of harsh... and even if they aren't that into basketball at first- they end up liking it a lot in the second episode.
And you get to see a little bit of his life and his relationship with his daughter... and it's just interesting.
I would definitely recommend watching it- even if you aren't into sports. It's a good show and John Stamos does a really good job in it... as does everyone else on the show too!
Alright- that's everything!
Bye!
