Throwback Thursday: Spice by The Spice Girls (Target exclusive White Vinyl)

Okay... guys this might be the most obvious statement of the year... but The Spice Girls are Awesome. The end.

Sooo I just happened to see this record at Target while my Boyfriend and I were looking for things to go on our vacation... and I listened to the album while getting ready to go to dinner for my mom's birthday.

Guys... This is a really really fun album! It's just so good! I was disappointed because this wasn't the cd that I had when I was a kid..I believe I only actually had Spice World... which I still think is probably a better record... but in all honesty this one is just SO SO fun and when listening to it... I just really loved the songs. These ladies are really talented and they did a fantastic job with this album... I can see why they were so MASSIVE because they were just that AWESOME! Okay...

So this starts out with Wannabe... probably one of the best Spice Girls songs period... and it ends with If U Can't Dance... which was great! I actually thought that might have been one of my favorite if not my favorite songs on the album. There's also a song called Mama- which I remember them playing at the end of Spice World on the VHS tape... I think they even had a video with their moms... which was cute. The only thing about that song that's a little weird is that most everything else on this album is about sex... and then there's a nice song for their moms. The sex songs are very nice though because they're positive and in the song "2 become 1" they actually mention safe sex... which I don't think a lot of bands did. It's also VERY WEIRD that this was marketed so heavily to children and that I loved these songs and probably sang along to them when I was 6. Like I said- I didn't have this album... so I might not have known those songs... but it still seems weird to me.

Either way... The Spice Girls are awesome. This was a very cool target find.
