Throwback Thursday: Discontinued Food Nostalgia

Okay guys- I saw a TikTok of a woman that loves a lot of food things that were discontinued and I'm going to talk about some of my favorite things that were discontinued.

First off this isn't necessarily discontinued but I can't start this off without mentioning Pizza Hut in the 90's/ 2000s. Pizza Hut used to be like a restaurant and it was kind of fancy. I think it might have had a salad bar, it had nice cups which everyone talks about and... you could sit down and eat a personal pan pizza which you could get for free from reading 4 books a month.

I think I want to do this as an adult because reading 4 books a month is more of a challenge lol. I don't like Pizza Hut anymore though.

Okay now I want to talk about a couple of memorable ice cream flavors...

Starting off with the Shrek Sherbet from Baskin and Robbin's. This was a green and purple sherbet I think it was half grape half watermelon or apple and it had pop rocks in it... it was really good. I knew it was limited edition for Shrek- but this was good.

Ben and Jerry's also has some great limited edition ice creams. My favorite growing up was one called Concession Obsession which had movie theater candies in it and it was really good. That wasn't discontinued but it was really good. I also liked a lot of their collabs. Jimmy Fallon's Late Night Snack flavor was similar to concession obsession and I was upset when they changed it to The Tonight Dough- which is just basically cookie dough. The Schwedy Balls ice cream based off of an SNL Sketch was really great too. I think it was like a rum ball type of thing in the ice cream... really good. And the Ron Burgandy Scotchy Scotch Scotch was good.

I can't talk about discontinued food without mentioning the limited edition Snapple Pie flavors that I wish they'd bring back but... I'm not sure I would like them as much as an adult. I didn't really like the mixed berry one- but the Apple Pie was really good and it tasted like a really good apple pie.

Alright- that's everything I wanted to mention... things were different in the 90s and 2000s...
