Story Saturday: Theater Employee Stories
Okay so I have a few stories about movie theater employees. I don't really want to call anyone out- I don't think these people are bad or anything- they're just doing their jobs but... yeah.
So one time several years ago I was seeing a movie with my boyfriend and we were discussing the order we would do things. We weren't sure if we should get popcorn, go to our seats and then take turns going to the bathroom- or one of us get popcorn, one goes to the bathroom and then we switch. I think we also weren't sure if we should get our tickets scanned and then go to the bathroom or not. The guy was like... listening too much to our thought process and he kind of yelled at us and told us to go to the bathroom before scanning our tickets... but that didn't really make sense either... so my boyfriend said "no just scan our tickets" cause we would have to go back out into the theater after scanning our tickets... so really it made no sense and this guy always gave us problems and he was a jerk about it. Some of it was our fault (me blatantly sneaking in soda- that's just his job to tell me not to do that) but he really was a jerk about things... and my boyfriend just kind of had it at this point.
This was before Covid btw... so that's just a time frame. The next movie theater story is from when we saw Scream VI... I heard there was an end credits scene- didn't know what it was... but I wanted to see it cause it's part of the movie. Plus I like seeing the credits- so many people work on these movies- I kinda like to see their names on the big screen even if I'm not really watching it. The cleaning crew was trying to clean- it was probably the end of the night... and they said "are you staying for the end credits scene" and then told us the scene because it was nothing special... and he wanted us to leave. And with the cost of movies these days... if we want to stay for the credits- we should be able to. We left cause the guy basically told us he needed us to leave so he could do his job- but like... I wanted to see the scene in theaters.
Luckily- we didn't get kicked out for the John Wick post credits scene... but yeah. Not fun.
Bye!
Oh btw speaking of movie theaters- I will have a review of Dungeons and Dragons tomorrow!
