Shannon’s Reviews: Bao Dumplings and Bao Tea

Okay so recently this place opened in Freehold Mall called Bao dumplings and Bao tea and I tried it and I really liked it!

They have a lot of dumplings and they have other things too like noodles and more. They also have a good selection of bubble teas and teas. And I think they have regular rice and fried rice also.

You can just order one thing as a meal- or you could probably get it as like an appetizer or snack. I got a combo meal- and I got Chicken Dumplings, Golden Buns and Fried Rice. And I got a Taro Bubble Milk Tea. The chicken dumplings were really good. I'd try it again, they were flavorful and not dry or anything. The fried rice was way better than it looked. It just looks like rice with some vegetables in it- but it's really flavorful and I just really liked it. The golden buns were kind of like donuts- but they weren't all that sweet. The golden sauce it was in was sweet but the bread was just kind of like a regular roll. I really really liked those. I would honestly order any of these again and try new things.

The Taro bubble tea was also really good. I recently had Taro tea from the cafe in Kinokuniya in NYC and that was not good. It was very watered down and the one I had had some flavor but my boyfriends had NO FLAVOR at all. This was really good and flavorful and it came in a nice cup that I washed out and gave to my mom to water plants cause it's not that big but she likes cups for that sometimes and I thought this was kind of sturdy.

Overall I liked it! Idk if this is the number one thing to get at the Freehold Mall Food Court- they have a lot of options... but I'll be going there again I think! They have other locations too!
