Shannon Goes to The Movies: Shang Chi Movie Review

So this is only the second movie I've seen in theaters since the shutdown and it's by far the best one I've seen in a while! The action was great, the stars were great... I'm still not used to being in a movie theater so I think I fell asleep a little bit... but I still had a great time! It might be one of my favorite Marvel Movies!

It starts out with Shang and his best friend Katy just hanging out- they both work as Valet Drivers and they took a fancy car out for a joyride... they also went out with their friends who think they should grow up... and then they stayed up late doing karaoke... it was a fun montage. Then someone tries to steal Shang's pendant he has on his neck... and we see that he is apparently an excellent fighter... out of no where... to the shock of Katy- who's been his best friend forever.

So then we find out his back story- which I don't want to explain here- but it is very good... and worth watching... and he goes back to where he's from to meet up with his dad- who's trying to get him to fight although he doesn't want to.

The fighting in this is... beautiful and the music was really good in the movie too... so it was really cool to watch and just... a really cool superhero movie.

They also made the ten rings bracelets so that it wouldn't be too much like the Infinity Stones... and that looked really cool. My boyfriend was excited about that because the rings don't look as good as the bracelets do... so that was fun to watch.

And overall I don't think this is my favorite thing Marvel has done... but it was definitely the most exciting new Marvel Movie in a long time. I liked it better than Captain Marvel, Black Panther and a lot better than Black Widow.

I also just love Awkwafina... I will watch her in just about anything because she's just very entertaining. I didn't see The Farewell because I think it's going to be too sad for me... but I still want to try to watch it because of her.

Alright- that is everything! I hope you like this review- it's definitely worth seeing in theaters.
