Shannon Goes To The Movies: Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Pt 1

Okay so yesterday I did my ranking of Mission Impossible movies and I mentioned that at #1 was the new Mission Impossible movie- which I had just seen yesterday.

Apart from this being the best Mission Impossible movie yet- it is probably one of my favorite Spy Movies. My boyfriend and I watch a lot of spy movies- we've seen every James Bond movie... this is better than some of those movies too. Not all of them- not most of them- but it was still a great movie overall!

The trailers for this movie all focus on Tom Cruise doing a stunt- and they don't show that stunt till like the end of the movie and it's great! There's a lot of exciting stuff going on that you probably won't even think "when is the stunt going to happen???" And then when you see it it's just at the most exciting part and it's very very cool.

Also in this movie we have Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson all back and we got a lot of new really great characters too. Hayley Atwell is great as our female main character in this one, plus we have Pom Klementieff as a villain henchperson kind of... and our main villain and his other team were all really good and fun too. It was just such a good cast and all the characters were very interesting.

There were a couple of things in the movie that I thought might be... concerning to people. I feel like it could be something that people might be sensitive too- and there's nothing like harsh, brutal or violent that happens... but there were some moments I was like "oh maybe people should know that in case it upsets them." The movie opened with a submarine accident- its just a quick scene- very different circumstances than the recent tragedy... but if that news story upset you the moment in the movie possibly could. There are also some car crashes- nothing big or major... but idk I think people could be upset with those scenes in movies for obvious reasons too. Those scenes are also rather brief but it's something to kind of take note of maybe. There were kids seeing the movie in theaters with their parents- I don't think this would have been scary to me as a kid- but kids are different. Other than those, there was no foul language or explicit content and the violence in the movie wasn't terrible... I think it would be ok to take a kid to. They seemed to be having fun too.

The mission in this movie was just really great and there were so many exciting moments. I think the airport scene and the very end on the train were my favorite scenes. The stakes were very high and... it was just an exciting movie. Just a fun action movie and my favorite of the franchise!

This movie would be nothing without the writers and actors in the movie. If they had replaced any of this with AI- this movie would suck and it would have taken me out. The actors and writers in this movie deserve their fair share- especially since I'm sure this will be a very streamed movie that will make streaming services a lot of money.

That is everything I hope you guys like this review!

Bye
