Okay- so my crazy craft project I’m doing now is making small 5 inch nutcrackers look like the heroes and villains of the Batman movies- and just as a guideline I’m taking inspiration from Batman: The Animated Series. Keep in mind: I’m not an artist, I suck at painting and these are small 5 inch nutcrackers that aren’t easy to paint. My hand is very shakey when I do this and I’m a little messy so these aren’t perfect.
All the supplies from this I bought on Amazon. I used the Apple Barrel matte paints from Amazon- I just bought a box with a lot in it- I don’t think it showed the colors and I got a set of brushes that included small detailing brushes and slightly larger flat brushes. The nutcrackers were 5 onch unfinished nutcrackers- I ordered 12 I think.
Harley Quinn
I thought this would be the easiest because Harley’s design is pretty simple… but this was really hard to paint.

so this is what I based it off of- I drew out what I wanted it to look like before I started painting.

So this is how I drew it out- I went in with a little outline for where I wanted the white to end on her mask after- but this was pretty simple to draw and I thought it’d be easy to paint… but it was harder than I thought because of all the little details… so this might have been the hardest one actually.

This is the finished product- I might go in with Mod Podge to seal it together and I might go over the colors a bit… but I liked how it looked overall. I started with the black parts and then I went in with the red, the blue for her eyes and lastly the white. I’m not sure I love how the lollipop turned out… but it’s okay- I think this looks like a good Harley Quinn.
Joker
Okay Joker was actually wayyyy easier to paint- but he did have a lot more colors so that was the tricky part.

this was the outline I did- I knew I wanted his smile and I wanted his weapon to look cartoon-y looking so I wrote Pow on it- but I think I switched it to Bang when I actually painted it.

It’s been a while since I’ve painted this one- I forget what exactly I started with- I think maybe the smaller details like his face and then I did the suit and jacket and the green. I wanted his hat to look like the hat in Batman the animated series-

so yeah this is what I have so far- I outlined The Penguin but I’ve been so busy I haven’t painted him yet!
But that’s everything for now! I will update when I paint more!
Bye!
