Scream Sunday: The Scream Movies Ranked!
Alright this is going to be tough… cause I’m not totally sure where I rank a few of these movies… but now that I’ve seen them all… I’ll talk about them! We’re going to start with my least favorite and then go to my favorite.
5) Scream 3
Scream 3 was just not my favorite. Sydney was barely in it- I didn’t really like the opening scene with Cotton… I didn’t like that it felt so removed from Woodsboro and took place in Hollywood for the most part. I didn’t even know who the killer was when he was revealed… it just wasn’t my favorite.
4) Scream 2
I used to have this ranked a little higher… but the more I think about it… the more I realize how much I actually like Scream 4. The opening scene of this one was great…. But there aren’t too many more memorable moments. I liked that this was the first time we saw Stab. I thought the killer reveal of this one was pretty interesting… and I did like the new characters that they added. It was a good sequel… and I think if I saw this in theaters I would have really liked it… but I was probably around 6 when this came out so… I didn’t.
3) Scream 5-
This is the new Scream movie that just came out. I really liked it- I thought the cast was pretty good, the kills were really good… it was sad to see one of the main 3 get killed off… and the killer kind of surprised me… I just didn’t like their reasoning.
I also liked that a lot of people survived… and I liked Billy Loomis… kind of as a hero almost.
2) Scream 4
This one… was kind of fun. I feel like it was sort of easy to predict the villain in this movie… but at the same time the reveal was so good. I keep thinking about this one and I honestly think I might rewatch this soon.
1) Scream
This one is obviously the best. I like the simple format of this movie. This kind of establishes the rules that they have in every movie. I also love Matthew Lillard and he’s probably my favorite part of the entire franchise. For a long time I had only seen this one- the others I just watched recently… so I just really liked this one compared to other horror movies. I still think it’s great.
Alright- that’s everything. I think I’ll have one more Scream Sunday next week… and then I’ll go on to Saw Sunday cause my boyfriend and I just started watching the Saw movies and… they’re really good!
Bye! -Shannon
