Reading Wrap Up: March 2022

Alright… absolutely the craziest month I’ve been through in a while. I got into reading, I started a big home decluttering project and general life improvement project… but then I got sick and I haven’t finished it yet… also yes I got very very sick towards the end of this month… which is half why I didn’t write a lot but also… why I feel like I’m writing a lot now. So yeah…

Anyway let me talk about the books I’ve read and a little of what I thought about them and maybe what I learned from them or something? Idk lol let’s discuss!

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

Ohhh my goodness… this month has been long because I feel like I read this book forever ago. Honestly this taught me that I really really like Grumpy Sunshine romances… it was just very funny and combined with the fake dating... it was just a refreshing trope.

This also had a very hot love scene in it… and it’s kind of out of NO WHERE too because it’s a very cute PG ish book and the love scene is... hot honestly. 2 chapters long- you could skip it if you don’t like reading through that but… yeah it’s a good scene.

I also liked the cartoon cover on this one because sometimes that’s how I pictured the characters. There are some funny moments where I think the animated characters help.

Ugly Love By Colleen Hoover

Quickest read of the month… and I was really frustrated with it at some points but I did kind of love it overall. It was a really fun read. Miles really frustrated me through a lot of it… and I don’t think his background was… a good enough excuse for some of his behavior- but overall I liked the book a lot! My first Colleen Hoover book and I have a lot more I would like to read one a month for the next few months I think!

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

Another Author I’d like to read at least one book a month from… at least till her new book comes out: Emily Henry! I’m a big fan of this book. This was a really funny and cute story that was told in current times and through flashbacks to different vacations between Poppy and Alex. Its a friends to lovers story and the friendship is just so great. The ending gets a little angsty but overall it’s a great book and has some very funny moments.

Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lee Barnes

I’m still dreaming of the Hawthorne Mansion. This was such a fun book. I’m so excited to read the sequel and more from the series… this is just a really fun one and I loved all the characters!

Addicted To You by Krista and Becca Ritchie

I just finished this and I don’t think I have as many thoughts about it yet… but I liked it? I feel like it’s a good start to the series- it had a good ending and it didn’t go on too long I guess. It was a good start for the series and I’m already interested to read more.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Technically I still have a few more chapters of this one- but if I hadn’t gotten sick this month I would have finished it… so I’m going to include it here. Really cute book and I love the dynamic between the two leads. The banter and the way the relationship forms is really really cute.

Favorite Book of The Month…

People We Meet on Vacation! It’s just a really good book- I like the couple and I like the way it’s told between the two different timelines. It makes me excited to read Beach Read this month and then Book Lovers next month- which I’ve already preordered.

Alright that is everything! More Reviews coming soon!

Bye! -Shannon
