Pastosa Ravioli Chicken Parm Review

Okay so this is a funny story: I told my boyfriend "hey we should go to Pastosa Ravioli. I want ravioli- I had ravioli last night and l can't stop thinking about it. Let's go there." And my parents were like "we always go out to eat, how about we get some meals to make at home from Pastosa Ravioli. It just opened up in Eatontown." So... I was lucky that my parents were thinking the same thing I was- and they didn't get Ravioli but they did get the chicken parm and eggplant Rollotini so I'm going to have the eggplant tonight.
They have prepared Italian foods and pastas- I did not go with them- So I haven't been to the location yet- but they have a lot. Prepared foods, meats and cheeses for charcuterie boards- I think you can even order your own charcuterie board. They have desserts... they didn't get any of those but... I'm sure we'll be back for them because my parents loved the chicken parm and said the people working there were really friendly.
Okay now for the moment of truth... I haven't eaten it yet and I'm going to in just a bit to review it here... so let's try it!
The Taste Test
Omg it was so good!!! The chicken was nice and tender and the skin was nice and crispy but not too crispy... the sauce tasted really good, the cheese was really nice. They also got bread and fresh mozzarella from there. They were both really really good. I can't say I liked it better than my favorite Italian deli- Nino Jrs- which is also nearby and owned by my best friends family... so I might be biased but this is still really good! They have things like Pumpkin Ravioli also- which I really like... it looks like they have a good selection of things.
Side new NJ Food Review
So there's another place in the same plaza as Nino Jrs that I figured might be good to review here too... Usagi Sushi and Ramen just opened up and they have really good ramen... and I don't eat sushi but I did have some of my boyfriends and I liked it enough that I think I could actually order it!
I had the Chicken Ramen and the broth was good- it had bamboo in it... the flavors were nice. They're very new and I think it's just the owners of the restaurant working there now but they know what they're doing and it's great!
So there's my review of some new (And old) places to eat pretty much in the same area. I'm probably going to have the Eggplant Rollotini before I post this review but... I have a feeling I will like it since I already know what the breading and the cheese will taste like.
Bye!
