Newbury Street Shopping
So the first place I wanted to go in Boston was Newbury Street. I love Johnny Cupcakes and I really wanted to go there and get some new stuff- so that is where Aspen and I went.
I haven't been to the new location- they have oven doors and you pick out the cupcake themed t shirts and other things out of a bakery case and when we picked it out it was out of the oven door with smoke coming out and it was in a cupcake box.
I picked out the Duck Tour Shirt, the All over Oven and bakery print hat and a Make Cupcakes Not War tote bag. My boyfriend got some postcards, a t shirt with a negative review saying there were no cupcakes in the bakery- based off a real negative review- and I think he got a sticker or something too.
Next up Newbury Comics! This was just a fun comic and manga store but they also had plush, novelty socks and cool stickers, collectibles and things... it was pretty cool. I got 2 mangas because they were buy one get one half- so I got the first 2 volumes and it was a staff pick and it was called The Girl From The Other Side. It looks really good. I also got a really adorable sloth plushie! It was blue and it's so soft I needed it- I cuddled it on the bus ride home. I also got some socks that had curse words on it! So that was cool.
My boyfriend also got a lot of stuff- but some of it he regrets because the sale books were included in the BOGO half... so yeah...
I think after that we went to tj maxx- which didn't have a lot of stuff. He thought he only had one pair of pants packed and he didn't have a hoodie- so we were hoping we'd find something there but we didn't. We did however get neck pillows and tote bags! Which were useful!
We went to an animae store- I think it was just called Animae- I got a Kuromi coin purse and a Rilakkuma tote bag... I kind of regret not getting more honestly. My boyfriend got a lot of stuff- he got this cool lamp from... something I didn't know- he loves Kamen Rider- so he got a cool Kamen Rider statue and he got his sister a Miku plush. It was a really cool store.
We did find the men's clothes my boyfriend was looking for at Uniqlo. He got some graphic ts, a Woodstock one, a One Piece one and he got a hoodie and a comfy pair of pants. Also we got a large tote bag which came in handy!
We were done shopping at Newbury street then- so we made our way to Legal Sea Foods at the Prudential Center Mall. The Prudential Center is a bit of a high class mall- but I was hoping we could get lunch there- which we did and there used to be a duck tour stand there. The waiter at Legal Sea Foods wasn't sure where that was- so we just got it online and figured out where to sit outside for our duck tour.
I'll talk a little bit more about Legal Sea Foods and The Duck Tour coming up- but overall this day was filled with shopping and walking!
If you want to see what anything I bought looks like check out my Instagram or tiktok- I'm @shannonsface on both.
Bye!
