My Favorite Broadway Musicals

Okay... so now that I've seen Hadestown which is 100% on the list... let's talk about my favorite musicals that I've seen. I'm not going to rank these because its hard to compare these... I also wanted to do a top 5... but I don't really want to limit it to just that.

Hamilton

There's no real order- but Hamilton and Beetlejuice are probably my favorites... with Hadestown being second or third. So some ranking but obviously Hamilton is my favorite... I listened to this soundtrack every day for over a year... and I still loved this musical so much that I think it exceeded my expectations. This whole thing is amazing and I've seen it a bunch on Disney+ also... I love Hamilton!

Beetlejuice

Ok I just saw this a few months ago and I still think about it a lot. I would see it again if there's ever a revival or if I can see a tour or something I would go... but Alex Brightman really really made this musical. I was so happy I saw him- it was just a week before his accident I think... but the music in this was fantastic, the characters were all amazing. It really added to a movie that was already fantastic... and this is kind of tied for number 1... or 2... I love it.

Hadestown

I just saw this a few days ago so maybe this is just the freshest in my mind... but I love the songs in this so much and this was the most emotional musical I've ever seen. If you've ever been in love this musical just kind of hits you in the feels... and the end is very heartbreaking but its still just... a great telling of a great story. Plus this is different than anything else I've seen- the Orchestra is right on the stage which is awesome... it's just very good.

Elf The Musical

This is the only show I've seen live twice and I loved it both times. I'm sad this hasn't been on Broadway again because this is one I would definitely see every year. I don't think this added to the movie Elf as much as Beetlejuice added... but I did really like all the songs and all of the changes in the musical were really good and funny.

Wicked

I have a feeling I'm going to see Wicked again sometime soon... and I loved Wicked. I don't remember it all that well- I saw it for my eighth grade class trip... but it is really a great musical- there is a reason why its such a hit and everyone loves it... I'm also so excited for the movies! I love John M. Chu and I think he'll do a great job. Plus the cast is amazing!

Something Rotten!

This was the most underrated of all the musicals I've seen. Maybe its just because I'm a Shakespeare fan... but I loved the characters in this- I loved the songs and it was just really funny. The cast was really good too.

Seussical

Okay last one I want to mention because this was my first musical and the only musical I've ever seen because of the star in the musical. I loved Aaron Carter growing up- and seeing this was so much fun and it made me an even bigger fan. This also kind of got me into watching musicals... so this is where it all started! Plus my parents surprised me with this! I didn't know that I would see it as a kid!

That is everything!

Bye!
