Movie Monday: What I Watched in March
March feels like... forever! I see the first movie on this list and I can't believe I watched that on the first of the month!
Don't Worry Darling ⭐️⭐️- Worst Movie Ever
Okay so this didn't get a 1 star even though I do think it's the worst movie I've seen just because I was entertained throughout the movie. It was stupid and the end made me really mad... but I was overall entertained throughout and would consider watching it again if I needed to see a bad movie.
There's no reason to watch this though- it's bad... it doesn't really make sense. The acting isn't that bad but Harry Styles couldn't even keep me watching this movie.
M3gan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a rewatch for me and it's still just as good! I thought I watched the unrated version but I'm not sure it was that different... I'll probably watch it again when the Blu ray comes out which I think is soon in April.
Creed II ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
I still haven't seen Creed 3 yet- but I want to! This was a great movie- good follow up to Creed and although the characters were a little subdued- the fight was good and I liked the plot.
Scream VI ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a lot better than last year's scream movie! I loved the New York setting, the kills and the characters in this one were great!
Frankenstein ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn't pay that much attention to this one I have to admit... but it's an obvious 5 star classic monster movie! I loved it! It's from 1931... but it's still scary and interesting!
Crimson Peak ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another 4 star movie! I love Del Toro and I watched this on a snowy day so it was just right! I really like Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain in this movie. Very good!
The Whale ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this movie! I thought the characters were all so interesting and Brendan Fraser's performance really made the movie! I was on the edge of my seat... it was just a really good movie... with a kind of positive message for such a sad movie.
Puss In Boots: The Last Wish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For some reason on letterboxed I ranked this 3 and a half... but it's definitely a 4. The animation style alone is amazing and it's probably my favorite Dreamworks movie since the first Madagascar movie. And this one is probably better- the villain in this was great. They also have Jiminey Stuart instead of Jiminey Cricket... and that is basically Jiminey Cricket doing a Jimmy Stuart voice and it's hilarious! They also tease a Shrek movie at the end and I want to see Shrek animated like this. Also I was not much of a fan of the first Puss in Boots movie- but I loved this! It was great!
The Godfather ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No complaints or nitpicks here honestly. This is a perfect movie. It is very long though- But it's a must watch for sure and a classic for a reason
Dual ⭐️⭐️
This is a weird movie that... I think is a great concept but the ending felt kind of rushed and I just wasn't a big fan. I kind of want to go more in depth with this movie but... I just did not like it and I can't say I'd recommend it.
John Wick 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Obsessed. This is great. I also don't think you even need to see the other John wick movies to see this... just run to the theater when it opens and see this! It's a perfect action movie!
Little Black Book ⭐️⭐️
This is actually quite a cute movie and I think a lot of the Britany Murphy Rom Coms are underrated and I miss her. The plot of this is a little bit complicated- but the ending is just really cute!
Beerfest ⭐️⭐️ 1/2
I had never really had an interest in seeing this movie- but I saw it on HBO maxx and went "why not" and it was actually really funny. All the jokes kind of landed for me... it was just really good!
I also watched some tv shows. White Lotus season 1&2, Shrinking, The Bachelor, and Daisy Jones and The Six. All pretty good- I really liked White Lotus and Shrinking and I'll have fuller reviews of them later on.
Oh I wanted to say what I saved in A List for the month too just out of curiousity. So I saw 3 movies within my Billing period date- knock at the Cabin, Scream 6, and John Wick 4. I pay 26.60 for my plan- John Wick 4 was in Imax and that was 19.59 and the other 2 movies I saw in a regular theater for 13.59 each. So in total it would have been 46.77- plus 6.47 total in "convenience fees" for online reservations so 53.24 total for those movies and I paid 26.60 for all of them so I saved 26.64. So not too bad! I'm not sure if there are other membership levels with waived convenience fees... I might do a full breakdown of it at some point... but yeah. It's not bad! I think I'll do the savings at some point too...
Bye!
