Movie Monday: Watching Thelma and Louise With Someone That Doesn’t Know The End
Okay... so a few months ago Barnes and Noble was having a sale of movies in 4K and they had Thelma and Louise and I told my boyfriend "ohhh this is a great movie- we should get this and watch it sometime." So we did! He has a 4K TV so we just watched it together for the first time. What I didn't know- he had never seen the movie before and didn't really know what it was about... so THAT was pretty fun!
So Thelma and Louise is a female friendship movie about 2 friends that run away from the law after a man tries to take advantage of Thelma and Louise ends up... making sure he can't do that ever again and then they have to run away cause they committed a major crime... although it was in self defense.
And this all happens when they're supposed to be going away for a girls weekend- so they just kind of extend their girls weekend- but Thelma is married to a total jerk so… he gets kind of suspicious.
This movie has like 3 major scenes in it I would say. The scene at the beginning where they commit the crime, a scene in the middle where Thelma has a spicy fling with a very young Brad Pitt in one of his first movie roles, and the end… which was interesting because it’s a very famous end but my boyfriend didn’t know that it was from this movie… so I had fun watching his reaction to it. I think he kind of knew what was going to happen because I spoiled it for him accidentally… but when it happened he was like “ ohhh it’s from this movie.” He seemed to enjoy it.
So the middle of the movie wasn’t super memorable but it was a really great overall. I do recommend seeing the 4K version if you like it because the Grand Canyon scenes are amazing.
Alright that is everything! I hope you guys like it!
Bye!
