Movie Monday: Ranking the Mission Impossible movies

Okay so I have officially seen all the Mission Impossible Movies! Actually at the time im writing this I haven't seen the new one yet- but im going to include this in the ranking as well.

I'll start with my least favorite

Mission Impossible 2

This plot made the least sense- the love interest I guess was interesting... but they didn't make her a cool sidekick character- she was just kind of a girl in the movie... and it just wasn't as good as all of the others. Critically I think this was the least loved too.

Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol

Ok so the rest of these movies are all pretty good... but Mission Impossible 3 was one of my favorites if not my favorite of the movies... so ghost protocol just fell a little flat for me. They didn't really use the ghost protocol that much... I think I liked the villain of this one- it's hard to remember but... it was good! Just not really my favorite.

Mission Impossible

The original movie was so much fun and it did a great job honoring the show that it was based off of but it also totally became it's own thing and overall it was just a really fun spy movie! I had fun watching this one!

Mission Impossible 6: Fallout

This one was really good. I think this was one of the most exciting of the mission impossible movies... this also has a now viral moment from Alec Baldwin that aged like milk. When my boyfriend and I started watching this we couldn't finish it all in one sitting- but my dad was really into it so he ended up watching it from the beginning on paramount plus so we could figure out where we left off on our Blu ray... it didn't pick up where we left off on dvd or Blu ray anyway but... this was fun. A good mission overall!

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

For some reason this one was just so exciting to watch. I really like the team that they've established now and I feel like they were at their best in this movie. I liked the mission- I liked that we got some closure between Ethan and his wife... it was just great overall.

Mission Impossible 3

This has the best opening of any movie ever... and I always quote it wrong but basically it's just Phillip Seymour Hoffman saying "we put a bomb in your brain... sound familar." And it was just crazy. Plus we saw Ethan with his wife and they were able to get married. And this was Simon Pegg's first movie. Phillip Seymour Hoffman also did a great job as the villain! Overall great great movie!

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1

Okay so I am writing this right after seeing this movie in theaters and this is the only one I've seen in theaters- but it is my favorite of the movies for sure. The stunts and the action were great in it! I just really loved the plot overall- the new and old characters were great and it was just a great mission overall! I'll have a full review tomorrow!
