Movie Monday: Movie Trivia Drama Edition

Sooo I cannot focus on anything today for the life of me… there’s so much I want to do but I cannot focus at all on anything I can actually do… so I am not going to watch a movie for Movie Monday today… I’m just going to talk about some movie trivia that… is a little more dramatic than regular movie trivia.

Stop or My Mom Will Shoot

So this is a classically awful movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger tricked Sylvester Stallone into accepting it. Arnold and Stallone have been feuding for… forever basically and Arnold read the script for

stop or my mom will shoot- thought it was terrible and he passed on it I guess… but I think he told Stallone he thought it was great just so he would do it… or something along those lines. Stallone starred in it and it was a disaster.

The Sony Spider Man without Spider man movies

They do a similar thing with the Sony Spider Man movies that don’t have spider man in them… they let the actors think it’s going to be a big marvel movie and then you get things like Madame Webb and Morbius.

Aladdin King of Theives

So Robin Williams denied doing the voices for any other Aladdin movies because he stated he didn’t want his name being used to promote the movie… Disney did exactly this and so Williams pulled out of the series and they got Dan Castellanata to voice Genie for the second movie and the tv series, but for the last direct to video movie- they were able to get Williams back when Michael Eisner gave Robin Williams a Picasso and an apology.

Outrageous Fortune

This is a movie that came out before I was born- and actually my mom took my sister to see it although apparently it was no appropriate for her to see at a young age. Anyway this movie stars Shelley Long and Bette Midler and they were both promised top billing- and neither woman wanted to give it up. So Shelley Long got top billing west of the Mississippi River and Bette Midler got top billing east of the Mississippi River.
