Movie Monday: Last Night in Soho

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this movie in its own post yet! A horror reviewer I like recommended this movie and it recently came out on Blu Ray… and it is kind of a fun movie. The ending is a little weird but overall… I liked it And I’d watch it again.

So it follows a girl that is troubled. She lives with her grandma and she sees hallucinations of her mother and shes been taking medication for these hallucinations. She goes away to a fashion college and after having some trouble with her roommate- she decides to move into an apartment and immediately starts having visions of another young lady in a different time period in the same place. She almost lives a double life fantasizing that she is this other young woman… but it quickly becomes a nightmare as this woman seems to have a troubled life and was possibly murdered.

This movie does have its problems… like she has a love interest with zero story at all. There are also moments in the movie that happen and its like “well why did that happen? What happened to that character after that???” And it’s never really solved. I can’t really talk too much about that without giving away too much of the plot… but… if you watch the movie… I’m sure you’ll notice it and also have problems.

There are some really scary moments in this movie… the twist at the end is… kind of predictable- but keep in mind… I always predict the end of movies. I’m not 100% sure what I said about this movie but my boyfriend called the twist right away. I think I thought the cab driver was her biological father. It wasn’t of corse- that had nothing to do with the movie at all… but there was still a point where it became very obvious.

Anyway- yeah I really liked it… it had problems but it wasn’t a bad movie. Like I said I’d watch it again for sure- I’m glad I actually took a chance and bought the Blu ray.
