Movie Monday: 5 Movies To Watch on Tubi
So next week I'll have my February movie list- I didn't watch all that much in February but... anyway- here's 5 movies that you can watch on Tubi that I think are good! I'm not looking at all of Tubi- I'm just looking till I find 5 movies I think you'd like.
It (1990)
This is the Tim Curry version of It and it's a really good movie. Tim Curry does a really good Pennywise and they did a great job showing the kids and then the adults. This is a great miniseries and I kind of prefer it to the newer versions.
Child's Play (1988)
This is the first of the Chucky movies. I watched it not sure if it would be good or bad- but I actually really liked it. The chase scenes were good- this was just a fun movie!
Tubi has a lot of good horror movies I could recommend- but I'm going to do some other genres.
But I'm a Cheerleader (1999)
This is a great queer teen comedy. A girl's parents think that she's gay so they send her to a conversion camp- although she doesn't know that she's a lesbian until she meets someone at the camp. This stars Natasha Lyonne who is so perfect in this role even though she's straight. This has a lot of funny scenes showing how ridiculous the idea of a conversion camp is too... this is a fun movie to watch.
Return To Me (2000)
This is a cute movie with David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. I haven't watched this movie as an adult... actually most of these movies I haven't watched since I was a teenager... so keep that in mind. David Duchovny is a widower and Minnie Driver is a woman with a heart problem and she had a heart transplant which we find out is David Duchovny's characters deceased wife. This has a lot of Dean Martin music and that sort of cozy small town feel that a lot of Rom coms in the 90s and early 2000's had. Even though it took place in a city- it still felt cozy and like a small town. I should watch this one again to make sure it's still good but I would still say it's worth a watch.
A Walk To Remember (2002)
Okay- I am not really a Nicholas Sparks girl- but Tubi does have some good Nicholas Sparks movies on here. They also have The Vow which I sort of like- but I think that one said it was leaving in 4 days. A walk to remember is about a girl that kind of gets made fun of in school and she ends up tutoring this guy (if I'm remembering correctly) and she tells him all the things she wants to do before she dies and he does them for her... and then he finds out she's dying and it's really sweet. It stars Mandy Moore and Shane West and for girls around my age- this was probably our first heartbreak movie.
I definitely need to watch some of these again soon... maybe I'll even do a Nicholas Sparks movie watch list even though as I've said I'm not a big fan of his... his movies do kind of have a special place for me because there were so many of them when I was growing up.
There's my roundup!
Bye!
