McDonalds BTS Meal Review
I ate it in the car and it was dark out... so this is the only picture I got... but I was actually really excited to get the BTS meal. I’ve recently been liking K Pop- somewhat because of this meal- but also because I really like the fashion and the dancing... I wasn’t really the biggest BTS fan until I found out this meal had Chicken McNuggets. I love Chicken McNuggets and that’s always what I order from fast food places so... I’m excited about that.
So the meal was just a ten piece chicken McNugget meal with a medium fry and medium drink. The special part of the meal was the 2 sauces- Cajun and Sweet Chili and... I actually loved the sauces!!! I keep thinking about them too. They were surprisingly good!
My boyfriend had heard that they weren’t very good. I saw a review saying the Cajun sauce was good but tasted somewhat like Chick Fil A sauce and other sauces and that the Sweet Chili sauce was too sweet but had a kick to it.
I think I actually preferred the Sweet Chili sauce for the McNuggets and the Cajun Sauce for the fries. The Cajun sauce was good too- but not as good as something like the Sriracha sauce from Wendy’s. The Cajun Sauce wasn’t really that spicy at all. I guess It was a little like a tangy, kind of spicy mustard. It tasted really good and it was a little bit less messy- as the Sweet Chili Sauce was really sticky.
The Sweet Chili Sauce was really nice and spicy. It tasted like a spicy sweet and sour sauce. It kind of reminded me of something I might order from my favorite Asian restaurant near me just all over the chicken. It might be too sweet for some people- it might be too spicy for some people... but I really liked it. It is very messy and sticky and for some reason it was not as good when I got home and it had been open for a while in the car. So that might be why I liked the fries better with the Cajun sauce... but this was also maybe too sticky for the fries.
Overall- if you’re a McNugget fan and you like spicy sauces... I would definitely recommend picking this up! It was a fun change and I would like them to keep the sauces around.
Also I’d like to know if anyone’s tried these sauces from McDonald’s in Korea -or any country with these sauces available- do they taste the same? I’m curious about that too!
