Let’s talk Dancing With The Stars!

So I’ve been watching Dancing With The Stars for a few years now and I have some thoughts on this season so far… and I haven’t had a chance to watch Only Murders in The Building a second time- so I’m going to post that recap tomorrow and now I’ll talk about Only Murders in The Building tomorrow.

Anyway, I’m always excited for the bachelor contestants on the show- and this year we have 2! We have Jenn and Joey and they’re both doing so well! Joey’s probably the best dancer on the show and Jenn is really REALLY improving and she’s just so fun to watch!

A lot of the other dancers are really good too! I’ve been really loving Chandler Kinney’s dances, I love Brandon so I’m really happy he’s with someone that’s so so good! I hope he makes it to the finals this year- I feel like he should have been there last year too… but the popularity contest of it just didn’t work in his favor last year… which was a little sad.

I also really like Ilona Maher… I think she did a great job last night and the crowd was cheering so hard for her and the judges were really really harsh. I loved her dance last night- she really deserved higher.

And the other Olympic athlete in the competition is also fantastic: Stephen Nedoroski aka the Pummel Horse Guy that looks like Clark Kent. He’s so fun to watch! I don’t think his dances this week were my favorite of the week… but he’s still really fun to watch and I think he’ll make it far.

I gotta say I wasn’t a big fan of Hair Metal night, I did like Soul Train night… but I’m also not really a fan of Gene Simmons and he shouldn’t have been a judge that actually affected any of the dancers scores… I feel like he was just trying to mix things up and hit on the ladies that were there… I just didn’t think he really added much to the competition.

I also haven’t been surprised by the eliminations so far. Reginald Valjohnson didn’t want to be on the show that much longer. I think he had a great time and he didn’t really move much but I love seeing sitcom dads in things. Tori Spelling wasn’t that bad… but I think she would have gone farther in the competition if she did the show years ago. Ana Delvey being eliminated right away made sense… and her having an attitude about it also makes sense. Brit Stewart I really like and I wish they gave her a better partner so she could stay in the competition a bit longer.

I’m excited for next week because they’re having Derrick and Hayley do a dance together and they’re always really good! Plus I think Marc Ballas is coming on as a guest judge and I’m excited to see him back on the show. I think he was Derrick’s best man at his wedding too so that will be interesting to see him with his friends there. I’d like to see Hayley as a guest judge too if she’s feeling healthy enough for it!

I also love seeing the men and women from the Golden Bachelor/ bachelorette on the show. They even cropped out Nick Viall to show the men of the Golden Bachelorette which is just awesome! I love that! And we saw Susan’s reaction to seeing Illona’s dance and… that was great. She looked sooo excited for it!

Okay those are my thoughts on Dancing With The Stars so far. I might do another recap in a few weeks but… yeah that’s it so far!
