Friday Favorites: The August Top 10 Edition

Hello and welcome to September. Someone please wake up the members of Green Day when it's over. I will maybe make this joke again if I do this in September. I've decided to just do a top 10 list because it's been a while since I've posted! This is in no order.

1.And Just Like That

So season 1 of And Just alike that had some fans divided and I was sort of one of those fans. There was stuff I liked- stuff I didn't like... and while Season 2 was a little bit cringey... I had a great time watching season 2. I liked all the new characters- I loved that Carrie and Aiden got a chance to reconnect... I didn't like the Kim Catral cameo but... I still liked the season overall. And while I didn't love Miranda and Che last season- I thought both of them had a good arc this season.

2. Sonny Angels

I've started collecting Sonny Angels which are these little blind boxes that are basically kewpie dolls with different hats on. They have different collections. I haven't been to any stores that sell these- so I've just ordered from the website. I pulled a secret from the fruit collection... so that was really cool! Overall I think these are really fun and cute!

3. Barbie Box Purse from Cakeworthy

To say I'm obsessed with this might be an understatement. This is such a fun purse- it makes me happy. Everyone smiles when they see it... I just love it. And of corse it has an emotional support Barbie inside.

4. The Bachelorette

So I loved Charity as The Bachelorette. What a great season- it was a little boring at times- but I kind of think all the seasons are a bit boring- but Charity was great. I liked the Final Four (I mean now I don't like Xavier but...) and I am excited to see Joey as Bachelor. I don't think he treated the show as a bachelor audition- I think he's the first bachelor I've been like "yes! This one! This could be exciting." And I liked Dotun the best since the first episode... so im happy!

5. Pumpkin Spice Latte

Yes. I love this! Im so happy it's back again.

6. TMNT Mutant Mayhem+ April O'Neil

Okay guys... I don't think I did a review of Mutant Mayhem- but I really loved the movie and particularly I loved April in this... I love how they show her and she's immediately the most beautiful girl Leonardo had ever seen. It was just very sweet and... as a chubby girl with glasses that was nerdy in school- I wish this came out when I was little cause I feel like I would have felt prettier or something. Anyway yeah great movie also... THEY PLAY THE HE MAN VERSION OF WHATS GOING ON and that was awesome.

I'm looking for any April O'Neil toys from this movie.

7. Wet n Wild Alice in Wonderland Colleciton Blush

This is such a pretty blush and highlighter. It's in a little thing you can swirl or just apply your favorite color or the color your looking for. I kind of just got it for the packaging but it also looked really pretty. I even got it as a gift for my friend cause I was obsessed with it.

8. Revolution Beauty Beetlejuice Palette

Another surprising find I believe this is the Strange and Unusual palette from their Beetlejuice collection. It has reds in it and it's just really pretty for fall... it's not fall yet- but this is good all year but this is fun.

9. Wordle

Okay so lately I like starting the day by doing Duolingo and then Wordle. I'm on almost a 40 day streak for Duolingo- so that's cool but Wordle is just really fun! I like to start out with a word with a lot of vowels in it like Vague or Audio (Audio was recently the word- so that's how I found it was a good one) and I've just been loving it. Good way to start the morning.

10. Planet of The Apes Series

On a whim kind of my boyfriend and I started watching the recent Planet of The Apes Series and I really liked it. I liked the third one a lot- the second one was just okay and the first one was pretty good too. I don't think you need to watch all 3 but... they were good movies. Andy Serkis does a great job.

Bonus Favorites

Target has these candy pencil pouches and I got a Reese's and a Twizzlers one. Twizzlers are one of my favorite candies and if Pennywise was trying to lure me into the sewer he could probably use a fresh bag of chocolate twizzlers.

Revolution beauty has a Monster's University collection and I got the Sully Makeup Bag and I love it.

I've also been watching a lot of Pack my Bag TikTok. Tomorrows post will likely be a "what's in my bag" for my barbie purse.

I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION FLEABAG! My boyfriend and I started watching this because we saw Indiana Jones 5 with Phoebe Waller Bridge... they could have given her more character for sure.

I've been braiding my hair because I realized I can do that- didn't know I could before. I'm going to try to do other kinds of braids next... but this is cute and fun. I need to try more hairstyles.
