Friday Favorites: May 5 2023
Okay this week I've got some favorites! I tried some new things and watched some new things so I'm going to talk about those things... I guess.
I've been into Broadway recently- and I've been watching Mickey Jo Theater on YouTube a lot. He is a theater critic based in the UK- but he recently went to Broadway for the first time and he and his partner have vlogs of their first time seeing all these shows... and they went to 21 shows I think they said. They saw Broadway and Off Broadway shows- and even a show in New Jersey at Paper Mill Playhouse- which is cool. And there are definitely a lot of shows that I want to see. I'm pretty sure I'm going to see Shucked eventually- it just looks really funny and it sounds like everyone loves it.
I also went to Torrid! There are a few new stores that opened up near me and I needed new jeans- so I went there and got 3 pairs of jeans and I really like them so far! They're really comfy and cute! I got Jeggings and I got a sale pair that I think said it was boyfriend ankle cut? I'm not quite sure- but they are nice.
I also got the Pistachio Gelato fragrance from Kayali in a travel size. I feel like sometimes this smells GREAT on me and sometimes it smells a little weird. It sometimes takes a while to be really good.
I watched the 1998 taped version of the stage production of Cats on Broadway. That was really really amazing. I didn't think I liked Cats- I thought my High School's production of it was really weird and I love the music but didn't think I'd actually want to see it... but I am a musical fan and I like Andrew Lloyd Webber's songs... for the most part... this production was amazing though and it was fun to watch it with my Boyfriend. He grew up listening to a lot the songs so it was very nostalgic to him. We did watch Cats 2019 after this which is not a favorite of the week. We watched them back to back- which you would think would be a bad thing but... I still liked the story... the 2019 one was just very disappointing and it changed a lot of our favorite songs. It was disappointing...
I think that's all I'm going to talk about right now... I'm watching the movie Red Eye...and this is probably going to be a favorite for next week. This is a perfect Wes Craven Thriller and I love it.
Bye!
