Friday Favorites 5.12.23

Alright! Favorites for the week!

I watched SO MANY good things this week. In theaters I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and it was my favorite movie of the whole MCU I think. I feel like it might be my second or third favorite movie of the year so far... my favorite I would say is John Wick 4. But Guardians was so so good.

I also watched a couple of horror movies. One was a thriller and one was kind of a haunted house movie. Red Eye starting Rachel McAdams and directed by Wes Craven was such a great thriller... I'd even say it was a perfect thriller. It was just very well paced and every little detail was important to the movies ending. The other horror movie I just watched last night was The Babadook. This might have been the scariest movie I've ever seen. I don't really get scared watching movies but this one was pretty scary. The ending was very good and I loved all the symbolism of it... it was fantastic. The only thing I didn't like about the babadook was that it felt a little too long at points. It did sort of add to the horror but... some scenes felt a bit repetitive and it might have been scarier if some scenes had been cut.

The best thing I've watched possibly this whole year on TV... Muppet Mayhem on Disney Plus. Omg this is so so funny and I love the Muppets and I feel like Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are very underrated... but this show is just great. The muppets are great and it's just so funny. I haven't watched every episode yet- but I did really really love it.

The Swedish fish and friends are so good. They have strawberry Dolphins and Watermelon turtles.. so so good!

I also recently bought some stuff from Torrid- I really like their jeans and I have a new belt from them- so I'm really happy about that!
