Friday Favorites: 2/11/22+ 2/18/22

Alright time for the weekly favorites... I’ve got a lot of high end favorites this week… let’s just get into it.

Em Cosmetics So Soft blush in Pearl Tea

I have this on today- what a nice, pretty neutral color. So easy to use and it really does last a long time on the face. I ordered a lot from Em Cosmetics and I have a feeling they’re all going to be favorites… but for right now I’m just including this on my list.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Kohl Eyeliner in Bronze

This is the prettiest eyeliner I think I’ve ever had. Plus it’s so creamy and overall… I just love it! I’m not a huge eyeliner person- but this one is just so nice and so easy… I’m considering ordering another because at the time I’m writing this they have free shipping… so I’m thinking of buying 1 thing only… and it might be the brown eyeliner… I think this is great!

Victoria Beckham Beauty Bitten Lip Tints

These are my other favorite thing from that order!This is like the most comfortable lip stain that just gives kind of a natural look to the lips but still lasts a long time. I definitely want the other 2 colors from the line and that might be what I get if I get anything else with the free shipping offer.

These also ship from Secaucus- so it takes like NO TIME to get it to my house… it’s tempting.

Vaseline

This isn't anything too special... Vaseline works- everyone knows that... but I never really used it on my face before and I feel like its game changing. My under eyes really need some hydration under them... and this is what works the best. My hands are great too... it's totally totally great.

Winky Lux Sorbet Balm

Winky Lux is kind of an underrated brand... but I feel like people are paying attention to them now. This looks pretty on the lips and it feels like a really nice balm. I like it a lot!

Marie Antoinette Erstwilder Brooch

Underrated Gem from Erstwilder's new france line! My sister told me I had to get this one because her hair had kind of a rainbow look to it and her pearls are actually really pretty and look very pearlescent too.

Another one I love from the France line is the Notre Dam Brooch- its called Our Lady Of France... I really like the color of this brooch. It goes with everything I've been wearing lately nad... it's just really nice.

Sanrio Cinnamonroll Shirt

I got this shirt from Boxlunch a while ago with my Lunch Money and it's just really cute. I've been buying a lot of Sanrio things latetly... This is just a comfy long sleeve shirt with a picture of cinnamonroll and a rainbow. This has been my go to for my days off since I can't wear logos to work... I really like it.

Loungefly Cinnamonroll Backpack

This is such a cute loungefly backpack... it's been on my amazon wish list for a while- I also have a pompompurin backpack and wallet from loungefly and I wanted this one too. It's so cute- I have a picture from my locker at work where it looks like Cinnamonroll is going to drink my coffee... its cute!

The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec

This is the book I've been reading lately and I really like it. Gornichec is an expert in Norse Mythology and this book is a retelling of the tale of Angrboda mostly. I don't know much about Norse Mythology- but this is a nice retelling. I really love Loki in this book... and you kind of don't like him at the same time... which makes sense for Loki. It really does portray these characters as people- which is interesting.

I looked this book up on TikTok because I feel like not a lot of people are talking about this... and I think its different than a typical BookTok book. 1) It's the debut novel of Gornichec, and I think her expertise is in Norse Mythology and not necessarily being an author. I think that makes the book better- but I can see how maybe people feel disconnected from her characters compared to other authors. 2) I would say read this book at a slower pace. It's a book that's interesting... but one I think you can put down and come back to. That's not what I think most TikTokers like to do. I've heard this book is a slow burn.

I haven't watched a ton of videos about it on BookTok because I don't want to be spoiled... but from what I've seen... people that are into Norse Mythology and History seem to like it and I think WitchTok seems to like it. So if you're into Norse Mythology and witchy books I think it might be one to read.

Baleaf Women's Bootcut Yoga Dress Pants

These are great! They look like Dress Pants but feel like Yoga Pants... I got the Bootcut ones- but I might order the straight leg depending on how these hold up throughout the week. They have different colors- I got the black one... the Khaki one kind of interests me too... but I'm not sure. I need to try these out more first- but So far I like these!

The Saw Franchise

I really like the Saw Movies... I just started watching them with my boyfriend... and they're surprisingly amazing. They go downhill a little after Saw 3... I've only seen the first 5 so far... Saw 4 wasn't terrible... Saw 5 was bad but I'd still watch it again.

The thing I really like about the movies is that there's ALWAYS a twist... really like a few twists. Saw 5 had no twist. Saw 5 maybe had the best traps of the series so far... but no real twist. I feel like they were just trying to make movies to make it more brutal and the trailers a little scarier... but it lacked in the plot... except the one character- who kept narrating the events of the movie. It was bad.

I think that is everything. I've been writing this throughout the week and then I never got to post it on Friday so I figured I'd combine 2 weeks together.
