Friday Favorites: 1.6.23
Okay first favorites of 2023 and these are some really good favorites this week! I watched some really great movies this week and I cannot wait to share them!
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
Okay I loved the first Knives out and I'm a big fan of Daniel Craig from the James Bond movies... and I think I liked the characters in the first movie a little bit better... but I did really like the mystery of this movie. I thought the characters were really funny... great cast. And I loved how many details were used. Also I really want to watch this again and I don't think it will get old if I watch it a second time... I think its just a really fun movie and I really enjoyed it!
The Menu
Okay this is even better... also I watched these 2 movies back to back and that is how I would recommend watching them! I also watched the Harry Potter movies recently- and Ralph Fiennes plays the "villain" in this movie and he is kind of similar to how he is as Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies. He stole the movie- I also really loved Anya Taylor Joy and I think she's just someone I really want to watch every movie of. The pacing of this movie is incredible. The characters in this movie are really good and also terrible when you need them to be terrible... and overall this is just a really fun movie to watch if you like Dark Comedies, or Horror movies. Don't learn too much about the movie beforehand... just go in blindly and get wowed. I gave both of these movies 5 stars and I would especially recommend this!
Letterboxed
Last year, my boyfriend and I really tried to keep track of all the movies we watched and what we thought of them... and it was hard. We kept a notebook with the list of everything- but we also wanted to write some reviews for the movies also... so letterboxed is a really good way to keep track of movies and review them. We're also trying to write reviews in a notebook- we got a free Book Journal from Barnes and Noble and basically- we just took that format and translated it to our notebook. I need to write my reviews in the notebook... but I like Letterboxed to sort of keep track of everything right on my phone.
My IPad
So I got myself an IPad with some of my Target points and Christmas money- and I'm using it to write this blog with now... and I really really like it so far! I used to use an iPad in college and I'm excited to have one again!
Crush by Tracy Wolfe (book 2 of the Crave series)
I liked the first book in the Crave series- I sort of have a love/hate relationship with it because I love it- but I know it is kind of trash... but I kind of like the second book a little bit better so far. I really want to finish this series (so far) in the next few months and I'd like to read some other series that I haven't finished yet... so I think this is a good book to have at the start of my year!
OK I think that is everything! I hope you guys like this post! Let me know what your favorites of the week are!
Bye!
