Foodie Tuesday: Order This!!! Eggplant Fries at Moonstruck Asbury Park

So I don't actually have a picture of this because the only time I went was with my family for my mom's birthday... if I happen to go back another time... I'll take a picture of it... but we saw Eggplant Fries on the menu and we like Eggplant and my mom fries eggplant sometimes and we'll eat it as a lunch or a side. She fries Squash and Zucchini sometimes like this too. They don't look like fries- but they're fried vegetables so they're basically fries.

The ones at Moonstruck actually looked like fries. And on the menu it describes them as having Maldon Sea Salt and Local Honey Drizzle.

These were really really amazing! They taste really sweet but they also have that Maldon salt which adds to the flavor too... it's just one of those things that doesn't sound like much... but it was really really good. I think we ordered one of these and 2 Pizza Margherita appetizers... I think maybe we should have gotten 2 of these cause everyone liked them so so much. The one was fine enough for us to share- there were 6 of us I think and we were all able to have a lot of fries.

As I said- my mom does make fried eggplant - and we pretty much always have local honey and we've since bought Maldon Salt so we might try to recreate this at some point and... I'll update you on how that goes... but this is definitely one of the best appetizers you can get in New Jersey.
