Foodie Tuesday: Making Homemade Pizza
Okay so I think I'm going to have a few more pizza Posts coming up for Foodie Tuesday- and I think my last post for foodie Tuesday was about pizza... sooo I might have a month of pizza lol.
My boyfriend and I have made pizza together in the past- we did a plain and a pepperoni and today we made some vegetarian pizzas! We did a pepper and onion pizza and an eggplant pizza.
So we got the dough pre made- The last time we did it he made the dough himself... but we wanted a short cut this time. Anyway we cut the vegetables first and broiled the eggplant and then we put the onions in water so that the flavor wouldn't be as overpowering.
We rolled out the dough- which we're pretty good at and we made 2 different pizzas. We put the sauce and the cheese on it and then we put the eggplant on one and the peppers and onions on the other.
We baked the pizza for like 20 ish minutes- one we baked a little longer than the other. We should have maybe kept them in a bit longer because the crust wasn't quite as crispy as we wanted. We also maybe should have turned the pizza around a bit because then maybe some of the crust parts that didn't get as crispy would have gotten crispier.
Both pizzas were really tasty. The vegetables were really good and the sauce was good. We just got the Nature's Promise pizza sauce from stop and shop but it was really good.
I kind of would have liked honey with the eggplant pizza- or hot honey or something might have been good. But it was still really good with the egg plant and the pepper pizza was really good too.
Over all this was fun to make and we liked what we made! We would definitely make some more pizzas- it was pretty easy!
That is everything!
Bye!
