Foodie Tuesday: Home Coffee Favorites

Okay- so if you want to start making coffee at home my #1 piece of advice would be to start with what you have- or what you can easily get from grocery stores, or honestly try things from Work or from offices that might have some coffee things in them... see what you like!

Usually in the morning I'll make a quick iced coffee with the Stok cold brew and a coffee mate coffee creamer. I really like the Pumpkin and the Gingerbread ones, but the Hazelnut is also really good... I think coffee mate is my favorite brand personally. Chobani is good too, Starbucks is good but I like coffee mate. I haven't tried many other flavors of Cold Brew- but the Stok cold brew is really really good. I'd also say if you have coffee grounds- it's super easy to make cold brew at home and that's something I like a lot too. I have a lazy girl cold brew recipe on this blog.

I also like the little packets of creamer- I know the international delight has packets of the hazelnut creamer. These are great and taste the same as the big creamer.

Now you don't need to go crazy with the syrups starting out- but Torani is a brand it's easy to find and it's kind of easy to find for a good price. I've gotten the Salted Caramel and the Hazelnut syrups and I JUST got the Brown Sugar Cinnamon and the Butter Pecan syrups to make a Chestnut praline at home... it's so so so good!

I have a keurig and I really like the Starbucks K Cups- but lately I've been really liking the Cinnabon. The Donut shop coffees are good and I usually like Green Mountain also. It's easy to find these brands at tj maxx, Target, Walmart, Costco... really really easy.

I also sometimes just use ice cream syrups in these too, caramel syrup, peanut butter syrup, Marshmallow syrup, cinnamon... these are all really good to use and a good way to get started.

I have a frother-it is easy to use but I haven't made a perfectly frothed latte just yet... but if I come up with any cold foam recipes or any good frothing tips- I'll let you know!
