Foodie Tuesday: Are the New Wendy’s Fries ACTUALLY Good or Different?

Hey guys! So Wendy’s recently changed their fry recipe and has what they’re now calling “Corona Fries” I believe- because drive throughs have been so popular during the pandemic- Wendy’s needed their fries to stay crispier longer because… Wendy’s old fries don’t taste good for that long.

Personally- I live near a pretty good Wendy’s that I go to quite often and… their fries at this particular one have pretty much always been consistently good. If I eat them right away or wait a couple minutes… they’re good. They we’re always flavorful and crispy.

The new fries I’ve had a couple of times now and they have been really crispy- but not as flavorful.

Now this one that I’ve had is the third time I’ve had it and this is definitely the most flavorful of them… so it doesn’t taste all that different than their original fries- it’s just a little less salty and a lot crispier. So maybe it’s just taking a little bit of time and it’s just such a subtle change that it isn’t too different… but they have been pretty good lately!

My mom must have really liked them because she kept telling my grandmother “they’re really good now!” So I guess she either didn’t like them before or she likes them a lot now. Either way- it is an improvement I guess!

So I was skeptical at first- but the truth is crispy fries are just better… and the flavor is starting to match.
