Fire Chris Harrison

So I have tried posting something about this... and there's a lot I can say about it... but I don't want to get out on a tangent about this because there's a lot I'm really mad about. I do like The Bachelor still... and I'll probably post about it in the future but I can't just not say anything about the current situation of what's happening.

Chris Harrison blaming the "woke police" for people being upset about Rachel Kirkconnell's controversies on the show... was just awful. This is the video that sparked the outrage. And... it's just not good. I think this video kind of showcases what's wrong with the producers and the franchise and why people are upset with the franchise.

I think there's a lot they've done wrong in the past. This season they've given far less airtime to contestants of color... and they've been a lot harsher on them. One example is that I think they were saying they didn't think Mike Johnson was ready for marriage and I believe they mentioned the ratings too... so that's kind of racist to begin with... but also is Mike really any more ready for marriage than Pilot Pete was? I don't have any links or quotes for this... so maybe I'm misremembering things but... still I know everyone was wanting Mike Johnson to be Bachelor... and they're just sort of like "Nope." and they said they have "reasons" but they aren't saying why... and I think now we all know why... they're just like Chris Harrison and it's awful.

Rachel Kirkconnell and Chris Harrison have posted an apology and Harrison will not be appearing on the After The Final Rose... and all of the cast members of Matt James season- and all of the members of Clare and Tayshia's season have posted a joint statement on Instagram standing against Chris and Kirkconnell's actions. This is the first time anything like that has happened... so that's really interesting. A lot of people have been saying they're unionizing... and hopefully this will be a step in the right direction that the dating show needs. They definitely need a better casting because I've been watching the show since Becca Kufrin's season and there has been at least one problematic cast member in each season that people on Social Media find out... right away and the producers are just kind of like "whoops!" And then that is the end of it.

So yeah... I think I'll have some more lighthearted blogs to come... but this is something that's needed to be said. And I think he should go. As for the finale of The Bachelor... I hope Kirkconnell doesn't win and doesn't go on any future Bachelor shows... and I hope she's not a successful influencer like many of the other girls... I just don't like her. I'm rooting for Michelle who JUST joined instagram, is hillarious and has a really great connection with Matt. I felt like their one on one was like they had been dating for years... it was really everything I love about the show in one date.

Anyway that is everything I'm going to say about this right now. I feel like Rachel Lindsay is an amazing human and everything she's done for the franchise has been incredible. And I'm glad she's not letting this go. She let everyone know that she knows Chris talks like this- she's just surprised he'd say it in front of a camera... cause he's really phony!
