Entertainment Roundup Report 1.8.25
Okay- so I’ve kind of been obsessed with box office results through different years… and I thought I would make my own entertainment roundup report for the week… where I’ll talk about the box office, what’s on tv, new music released and maybe I’ll even mention what I’ve watched. This week no new releases are in the top 10- so I won’t talk about the newly released movies except for a couple of them maybe but… yeah.
Box Office January 3-5
1)Mufasa-
3rd week in the box office and its first week at number 1. I’ve listened to the soundtrack of this one- and I was impressed. I’ve never seen live action lion king- but I’m a little interested in this one. I’ll check it out when it comes to Disney+
2) Sonic The Hedgehog 3-
This is Sonic’s 3rd week at the box office and its first week not being number 1. I’ve seen the other 2 Sonic movies and while I really liked the first one- the second one was not really my favorite- so I haven’t watched this one or the new Sonic show… I might eventually- I’ve heard this movie is fun… but it’s not on my must see in theaters list.
3) Nosferatu
Alright with Nosferatu has been out for 2 weeks now and it’s been doing pretty well for what people were expecting. I really enjoyed seeing this movie I don’t know if it’s the perfect movie people are saying it is- but it is pretty close.
4) Moana 2-
Another one I kind of want to see but while my niece liked it- my sister did not… so I may just wait for this one to be on Disney Plus like I’m saying with the rest of these movies.
5) Wicked
Favorite movie of the year- one of my favorite movies ever probably… so yeah this is a good one. I want to see the sing along version of this- but I’m afraid I’ll be the only one singing and obviously I’ll outshine everyone…
6) A Complete Unknown
This one I do want to see in theaters. I’m not much of a Bob Dylan fan- but I do like his music and I do like Timothee Chalamet’s singing voice… so I feel like that’s a good combo and this has gotten some buzz and I’m excited about that!
7) Babygirl
I want to see this one too. I like Nicole Kidman and this movie looked pretty good.
8) Gladiator 2
This has been at the box office for 7 weeks- although it came out the same time as wicked. I guess because it was a screen unseen movie it released early? Haven’t seen this and I have no interest.
9) Homestead
Yikes.
10) The Fire Inside
This is another Screen Unseen movie I think for December. This seems like it was okay. 2nd week at the box office for this one.
New Releases This Week
The Last Showgirl- which I really want to see.
Den of Thieves 2: Pantera
Hard Truths
Disfluency
Diane Warren: Relentless
Screen Unseen January
And the screen unseen movie at amc theaters this week was Better Man- which I would also like to see. I want to see a screen unseen movie this year- that’s when they show a movie before its release with giving just a little bit of info about it. Technically Better Man has been released already- but since it was a limited release they sometimes have those included with Screen Unseen.
Tv This Week
So this week ABC’s shows come back including the Abbot Elementaty Always Sunny crossover episode. Shifting Gears also starts tonight- that’s the sitcom with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings… I feel like Kat Dennings should have better roles but this might be okay.
I think High Potential comes back too- which is exciting!
Music
Okay I don’t know that much about music but Bad Bunny released a new album this week? I like Bad Bunny so I’ll have to listen to it!
What I’ve been watching/ listening to!
I’ll talk more about these in other posts/ I already have posts about them… BUT I have been watching Bob’s Burgers and My Name Is Earl and I just caught up on Ghosts. I really liked this Christmas episode.
And I saw Seven in theaters- they just rereleased it in IMAX which was fun.
As for listening… there hasn’t been much music I’ve been listening to- but hopefully by the end of the year I can talk more about music I listen to!
Alright- That is everything! I hope you guys like it!
Bye!
