Elemental and Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny Review
I've been really behind on reviewing movies cause it's been hard to find time to blog... so I'm just going to talk about 2 here that I enjoyed... but I saw them after they had been out for a while already so I didn't know if it was too late for a review... so here's a combined review.
Elemental
They did a terrible job advertising this movie honestly... it's not a bad movie- but it looked like a wacky adventure movie and it was more than that. It was sort of a story about immigration and discrimination and a little bit of a Romeo and Juliet type love story.
The best part of this movie was really the love story between Wade and Ember- I feel like they didn't want to just do another movie about a girl falling for a guy... but this was different than that because the love between them was very pure, sweet and refreshing honestly. Wade just loved Ember the way she was and.. it was so sweet. They were also just really good characters all in all. It was a nice movie.
I actually kind of saw the movie twice... the first time I really didn't like it that much at the beginning- but then it picked up a bit and I was really starting to like it... but the movie stopped, alarms went out and we were evacuated. So- we went back to see it again and I liked the beginning more seeing it the second time around... but the parts afterwords I just thought were okay all together. I still really enjoyed the movie- I will probably buy it and watch it again... I don't think you need to see this one in theaters I don't know if everyone will like it... but it's cute.
Also something bad happened to me the second time I saw it too... and it's a funny story that I'm a little mortified by...but that's for another blog.
Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny
So fun fact about me: I've never seen an Indiana Jones movie all the way through- despite Harrison Ford being my first crush as a kid. I've always tried watching it- but something happened before. The crystal skull I would have seen in theaters- but I was in Europe when it first came out and it was apparently awful so... it wasn't a priority for me when I came home.
Anyway this was a great first Indiana Jones movie to see because with no real reference as to what goes on in Indiana Jones movies... like there were parts of this movie that made my jaw actually drop. I know people don't love this movie and this and elemental are not really doing well in the box office... but I would 100% recommend seeing this movie. I really wanted to see it on 4DX- but I don't really live near 4DX theaters... so yeah. But seeing it in Imax or just in regular theaters is probably just as fun. It's a really great adventure and it's got a little bit of everything.
Plus how I have seen Raiders of The Lost Arc and there are some references to that in this movie that are great. One in particular... the "where does it hurt" part... very sweet lol.
And thats my thoughts on these movies! Hope you guys like it! Let me know If you have seen these and what you thought!
Bye!
