Do I Still Love It? Jack’s Mannequin Everything In Transit Throwback Thursday!
Okay so when I was in high school one of my favorite albums was Everything In Transit by Jack’s Mannequin. I’ve been looking for this on vinyl for forever and I Finally found it for a reasonable price on Amazon. I was so excited and then nervous… do I still connect with this album. Is it still heartbreaking? Do I even still like it?
And Yes. I still love it- I would still even say it’s one of my favorite albums of all time. I don’t know if my favorite songs are still the same though! So my favorite song on the album for some reason was Miss Delaney. Im not sure why- just for some reason I couldn’t stop listening to that song. I made everyone listening to that song… and I still think it’s one of my favorite songs of all time… but I do kind of like Dark Blue better! Dark Blue is such an amazing song and the fact that these 2 songs are back to back are amazing! So… now on the CD they’re back to back… but Dark Blue is the last song on the A Side of the record and Miss Delaney is the first song on the B Side… so it’s DIFFERENT! It’s a little weird and I still really like it but… I think that changes the 2 songs for me and now I would say I like Dark Blue more!!! Crazy right?
This is my favorite Jack’s Mannequin Album- I would love to also get The Glass Passenger on vinyl… but I haven’t found it anywhere. I also love Andrew McMahon’s other band Something Corporate… but I haven’t found their album either. I have to say… I don’t like In The Wilderness as much as the other bands… but I think he’s a great writer, singer and musician in general- he plays the piano… I like him.
Also the cover is beautiful. It’s blue with palm trees and I have some vinyl wall displays so I put this right on my wall. I’ll have to share pictures of these on Instagram but… yeah. This cover goes perfectly!
I hope this review helps you listen to something you haven’t listened to in a while. I also hope it makes sense and is entertaining! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged- I would love to blog every day this month… but I’m not sure about it!
Bye!
