Did I Solve It? Only Murders in The Building Season 4 Episode 9

Okay I’m really late to posting this review… but I think this episode kind of solves the case for us… it was Marshall P Pope aka Rex Bailey: Saz’s stunt person protege! But… I don’t think he was acting alone and I’m not sure he actually fired the shot… and I don’t think he’s the one stalking the gang… but let’s discuss some of what happened.

So Sazz is supposed to scout people to help her with her next movie and she ends up bumping into a young man who’s on his way to try to meet Ron Howard and give him a script when he does a flip when Sazz hits him with her car… so she thinks he’ll be a great stunt person, he needs to meet Ron Howard and deliver a script… it’s all win win.

Mabel, Charles, and Oliver are working on sleuthing in present time and since Glen Stubbins is in a coma- they know that they’re only way to find out what happened is to ask the director of the movie: Ron Howard… so they all get onto the set as background actors and they try to find Ron.

Ron and Oliver met one time at a Chinese restaurant and had quite a few laughs together. Oliver is also starting to talk about his bachelor party that he wants Charles to throw- and he wants Whiskey, a Naughty Secret and an A List Celebrity… which to Oliver seems totally reasonable and… Charles plans something really fun but it’s not what Oliver was looking for and he says Charles isn’t putting any effort into the party… Charles says he’s feeling a bit left out because he liked being Oliver’s emergency contact and he doesn’t know if they’ll still be best friends when Oliver gets married.

The guys end up at the Chinese restaurant and Ron Howard arrives and he tells them what happened- the stunt person didn’t check that he was fully put out after a fire stunt and ends up burning off Ron Howard’s eyebrows. And he shows the picture of Rex Bailey and it is Marshall P Pope- who is at Mabel’s apartment…And we learn that he stole the original script for the Only Murders In The Building movie- which was written by Sazz Pataki.

So there’s a lot of stuff I didn’t talk about that happened in this episode too because I didn’t want to spoil everything… but this season has been really exciting and I liked it a lot so far! I’m excited for the finale… I’m worried about who might end up being Season 5’s murder victim… I think season 5 is supposed to be the last season so I’m sure they’ll go far with it.

Ohh also credit clues: There was a green screen as the opening Easter Egg and the end credit clues had a dry cleaning truck and the only murders in the building script written by Marshall P Pope.

And I’m thinking maybe next season will reveal the plot holes in the podcast. Who knows!

Bye!
