December Adventures: What I packed+ How I Packed for my trips

Okay- so packing for 1 night away during the very cold winter time and when you can only really pack a backpack that you have to carry around with you on the train and possibly through the park is tricky. Packing to see a show on Broadway and spend the day in New York is a little less tricky- but still a little tricky. So here’s what I did and what I packed where.

Trip to Philly

So I packed my Elphaba mini backpack from loungefly as my purse for the day… but I bought a smaller bag to use for the concert. It’s from the brand Domat on Amazon and it’s similar to the Longchamp bags- it’s just a tiny bag but it can fit a lot in it and it’s just easy to carry and I thought it’d be good for the concert- so since I just packed my sort of large backpack with my stuff.

Anyway I was able to fit a pajama sweatshirt and pants for me in the backpack, a change of clothing for the next day, the little Domat bag that I brought to the concert- which I put my toiletries in for the night, I packed pajamas for my boyfriend and my makeup bag. Also 2 chargers for us to use- I like the 3 in one fold up chargers for traveling. And I brought my 2 planners (I kept the hotel address in them so I thought that was important) and I brought the book Nightb*tch which I was hoping to read and then watch in a movie theater… but unfortunately it wasn’t playing near me.

Anyway- for the concert I just packed the little bag with my wallet- a few things I keep everyday in my purse and I was able to pack one of the phone chargers with me… which I forgot to use at the restaurant… so that was too bad.

Anyway- the next day I packed a little bit differently to go home. I didn’t want to wear a big backpack and my mini loungefly backpack when we went to Love Park… so I packed my elphaba bag in there and I used my mini bag as my pocketbook. And it fit pretty well- I had to keep some of the clothes in the loungefly bag and my boyfriend kept the pajamas with him. This was working- but at one point it felt like it was going to burst and I didn’t want it to while we were at the park. I had a small tote bag that I was using for our little adventure in Love Park- so I just put a few things in that tote bag and it was fine.

For Elf- I thought it might be a good idea to put the small backpack in my loungefly backpack… which this time was the Elf loungefly backpack of corse. That worked out pretty perfectly- I kept my hat and gloves and sunglasses in the mini backpack and my wallet and necessities in the small crossbody… and I took it out when we were in the Starbucks. I think this might be how I do New York trips now just because it was pretty easy. If I had bought anything it would have been easy to keep it in the mini loungefly backpack.

So yeah that’s my packing advice for overnight stays and trips where you might have to carry a big backpack for a while… or trips where you might want a little extra room for things. I felt like I had everything I needed when I needed it and it wasn’t hard to carry. I’m just not used to having such a small crossbody bag- so I did need to check that I had it a few times.

Anyway that’s the end of my adventures I think! I hope you guys like it!

Bye!
