December Adventure Week: Club Quarters Hotel in Philadelphia

Alright- so the one night stay I booked at a hotel for the concert of They Might Be Giants in December lol. There were some things we wanted to do in Philly besides going to the concert and because it took a long time last time we were there- we didn’t want to go home late again and because my credit card gives me points back I thought I would look and see what hotel we could get that would be inexpensive and in the area. Club Quarters seemed to be the closest to most of the things we were interested in being near… it was a little far from the venue- but it was nearby other things and it was less than $30 after using my points. I didn’t have that many points saved up- but it was a good amount that I thought was worth it to spend on this hotel stay.

The thing I was a little worried about was that… the hotel adds one more stop to the thing we’re doing. Plus- we have to bring things with us on the train so that we’d have pajamas, toiletries, and a change of clothes… so if we had to go somewhere before checking in I don’t think this would be worth it… but because we could just leave everything at the hotel and bring what we needed to the venue… it was a little easier that way.

Club Quarters is also a really nice location if you’re visiting Philly- it’s right in the heart of the city- it’s about 10 minutes from Love Park- which does a nice Christmas Market this time of year… there were a lot of places to shop and eat nearby… it’s a good hotel and I’d stay again if I were going to Philly.

The room we got was pretty comfortable. It wasn’t big- but it was plenty of room for both of us for the night. The bed was comfy and the sheets were so soft and warm… which was great. There was a heater that got it a little bit too hot… but it was still really great.

The check in was really easy for the hotel too- they had it on a computer when you get in- it was really quick and the staff was really friendly. We thought it was going to take a while for us to check in- but it was easy. We both got room keys and it was nice.

We had considered driving to the hotel at one point- which we could have done- the hotel does have parking… but we aren’t used to driving in cities and we decided to take the train instead… this is in a really busy part of Philadelphia so I think it would be hard to drive in if you’re not used to driving in cities… and it was a little hard to get ride share drivers to drive us right up because it was pretty busy.

The hotel had a lot of nice accommodations too. They had a really nice coffee machine in the lobby, they also had water and sparkling water in the lobby and they had a water machine with cold water and maybe mineral water and hot water with bottles that you could refill right there.

They also had snacks in the room that you could buy for a fee… I did not open any of the snacks- they were a little expensive… but it was nice to have them there since I didn’t pack snacks.

And they have CO Bigelow products which are great! I didn’t like how the soap lathered and I didn’t use the lotion but they were really great!

So yeah- overall we didn’t stay at the hotel very long… but it was a nice hotel- I’d stay again and I would recommend it if you’re going to Philly!

Tomorrow I’ll talk about the actual concert itself!

Bye!
