Canada Trip Day 4: If You Like Board Games and Getting Caught in The Rain
Day 4 we didn’t really know what to do too much- but I really wanted to see some animals and I love museums so we went to the Halifax Natural History Museum, plus our friends showed us where a cute board game cafe was so… we did that!
First we went back to Bliss Caffeine Bar for breakfast and we both got Chicken and Waffles and a Baileys coffee- which was pretty good! The chicken and waffle was a sandwich style and it was really good.
After that we walked through the public gardens again to see it without a prom going on and we walked to the Natural History Museum! The Dinosaur exhibit had just ended and they were preparing for a Narwhal exhibit- which I’m sad we didn’t see… but we did get in the museum for free. The museum showed a lot of Inuit artwork and legends from the Mi’kmaw- which were interesting to see and read. They also had some animals and things showing how the animals sound and models of animals like the moose. They are also the home of the very famous turtle named Gus. Gus is my dads name so of corse we had to see Gus. I think he’s 100 years old and he is a gopher tortoise. He’s really cute!
After that we walked around a little and got to a board game cafe called The Board Room- which wasn’t open just yet so we had to wait and play board games till the cafe opened so we could eat lunch. The games were really fun and they had a store too. We played Wingspan- which we did not really like… we also played a dice game and then a card game where you had to try to make rainbows with the cards. And then we played Dumb Ways to Die which was really fun!
After that our phones were dying so we were going back to the hotel to recharge and rest for a bit… and it started raining… and oddly- we ran into our friends! The only 2 people we know in the whole city! They let us know we were heading the wrong way to our hotel- which was the fault of Google Maps… and we got a little lost again but we found our way back and then we went inside for a bit and we eventually went to our friends place for another nice home cooked meal! And it was really really good!
And that was pretty much the day! We spent a lot of time at the board game cafe… and we probably could have done other stuff during the day but we were having fun and it was nice to slow down a bit.
Bye!
