Canada Trip Day 3: Catching Up, Nova Scotia Public Garden and Fish and Chips!
So day 3 of our trip was pretty exciting and things started to change a bit this day!
We started the day by trying Tim Hortons for the first time- which was very good! We got the Tirimisu cold Brew Coffees -which we both really liked and got 2 more times on our trip… and we got the BELT breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels. I also tried their walnut crunch donut which was part of their classic donut comeback collection… this is a great donut and I don’t see why it went away! This seems like a great Canadian treat!
After that we decided to walk around for a little bit and we ended up right near our friends house- so we visited with them for a little bit and planned for the rest of the day. We went our separate ways for a bit- and ate at a really good Bahn Mi place for lunch! I had the tandoori chicken bahn mi and I really liked it! It was my first time having bahn mi and it was spicy and fresh and just kind of perfect. I also got some good mint lemonade with it- which was really refreshing!
We went back to our hotel at that time and we were surprised to see: hotel staff inside! They were looking to fix our chrome cast- which they weren’t able to do so they gave us a new room… and it happened to be the executive suite! Which had a chrome cast that worked perfectly! So we relaxed a bit and watched a Robin Williams and Billy Crystal movie called Father’s Day… which was okay!
We went a little early to meet up with our friends so that we could explore the Nova Scotia Public Gardens!
Definitely check out more photos on my instagram- Shannonsface but here are 3 of my favorites… ohhh I also saw ducks there and we got some cute pictures too!
We met up with our friends after and started walking to the pub area we were going to and stopped at a cute shop called Black Market- which had different handmade items from around the world. I’m definitely going to have to dedicate a post just to everything I got here because that was such a cool store.
We then went to the pub where I had delicious fish and chips and everyone else had an award winning seafood chowder… which was also very good! I’m not a big soup person so that’s why I went with the fish and chips- but if I were to go back I might get the seafood chowder because it was that good. The fish and chips were probably the best I had had since I’d been to London- so that was really cool!
We went shopping a little more and we went to a store with international candies- and I got some cow tales- which are some of my favorites!
We went back to the hotel room after that and we ordered a cheese plate from room service and watched a movie and tried to stream with another one of my boyfriend’s friends.
Overall a really good night!
Bye!
-Shannon
