Canada Trip! Day 1 Travel and Canadian Donair

Alright friends! Now is the time for my trip to… Halifax Nova Scotia in Canada! We have some friends that live here that we haven’t seen in a year or so so we wanted to visit them and see where they live!

Highly recommend going from New Jersey or New York to Nova Scotia. It is a very short flight plus: Air Canada leaves from the newly remodeled Terminal A- which is really nice!

So yeah when we got to Canada we waited for our friends to pick us up and we watched the show Clipped which is our newest obsession. Lawrence Fisburne is amazing. So is everyone else- but the whole scandal is just unreal and LA basketball is kind of crazy.

Anyway it was kind of late by the time we picked up and we couldn’t do much… plus our hotel had a prom going on and there was a lot of traffic in the area for some reason… so we ate Donair- which is like a slab of meat cut and put in a cone with vegetables and Donair Sauce… which is very sweet in Canada. It was really good! The sweet sauce mixed well with the donair and the vegetables were really fresh. I have had donair in Germany but this tasted way different!

After that we stopped by our friends place and we walked around for a bit. We bought some of the things that we didn’t bring on the trip and some Canadian candy- which tastes a lot different than the US version. I was surprised that the Canadian Smarties are M&Ms Basically- but the chocolate almost tastes like white chocolate.
