Can I solve it? Only Murders in The Building Season 4 Episode 7: Valley of The Dolls

Okay time to recap my favorite mystery show! Only murders in the Building! I don’t think I liked this episode as much as last week’s but it was still good to see Charles’s sister and they finally addressed some of the shows mysteries!

My notes in this one kind of all point to it being Loretta… and maybe I’ve been listening to too many theory videos but… I’m not sure the Westies killed anyone but they might be the ones that are watching the trio… but then that would mean they took Sazz’s phone so… I’m not that sure.

Credit Clues

So the opening credit clues had our trio wearing pigtails- like Loretta and also Helga in the picture I believe.

The closing credit clue had the doll bracelet engagement ring Loretta gave to Oliver and one of Dudenoff’s social security checks.

Howard

I’m going to start this by talking about Howard because I think he could be important in figuring out who did it… he was the only person that knew where the trio was hiding and Bev Melon, The A List Actor Trio, and Loretta all find out too. I kind of think Howard would have told the actors… possibly Bev… but would he tell Loretta? Not as sure.

Loretta

So Loretta is kind of unhinged in this episode. She fights Doreen… she’s mad at Oliver… she forgives Oliver… there’s a lot of Loretta.

The clues being Loretta themed too are a little strange… plus was that really her stand in that said “ugh” or was it her?

Doreen

So Doreen’s house is crazy and has a ton of dolls everywhere and her husband lives on his boat in the driveway because he went to “Can Can’s” too much… which is a hooters but for butts.

Doreen’s doorbell is also the start of the Billy Joel Song Scenes from An Italian Restaurant and it’s really funny.

Also her husband is a cop and he finds out that Howard’s been trying to reach the trio about the Dudenoff Checks.

The actors

The actors find out that they think someone’s been watching them since Season 1- and that that’s the person that poisoned Winnie and sent Jan the I’m Watching You note. Part of me thinks maybe this is the Westies and they didn’t kill Sazz but have been watching the trio to ensure they didn’t find out about the dudenoff checks… but then why would they tell Mabel about that and be so open to answering questions if they were hiding something? It doesn’t totally add up to me that it’s them… plus the person that’s watching them took Sazz’s phone- so they would have had to have killed Sazz too right?

This episode was fun but it definitely left me with more questions than answers. I find Loretta a bit suspicious- possibly her stand in… maybe Helga is th
