Can I Solve It? Only Murders in The Building Season 4 Episode 5

Okay- this was a great episode I feel like we learned a lot!

Credit Clues 🕵🏼

Okay so I think I missed the opening credit clue again this week- last week I got it wrong too- there were shamrocks in the shadows by Oliver’s cartoon which was for Glen Stubbins. I will find out what it is next week and post it in my credit clues along with next week’s clue if I can spot it!

And for the closing credits we have the picture of Bev Melon at the Women in power Dinner thing that was her Alibi and we have a picture of The Jonk- who is Loretta’s hunky co-Star that is making Oliver jealous.

Marshall P Pope🥸

So we learn that Marshall Pope is a very creative man- who suffers from imposter syndrome and tries to emulate the look of what he thinks a writer should look like by wearing fake Glasses and fake facial hair.

Marshall is more concerned about getting notes for the script than he is about being an actual suspect for murder. We also learn he’s a big fan of the podcast- and he’s particular inspired by Mabel’s creativity and confidence.

The Trio and Their Confidence Levels

So each member of our trio is facing issues with their confidence this week. As I mentioned- Oliver is concerned about Loretta leaving him for a Swimmer who is in amazing shape- Jack Jonk… who apparently Jonked at least 5 of the seven dwarves in a gender-bent Snow White production with Zach Galifinakis.

Also side note: the Jonk Jokes were so funny I wrote them all down in my notes… my parents and grandma were laughing out loud with this one too… this was maybe the funniest episode so far.

Okay so Mabel I think is gaining some confidence- she gets her first check for her life rights and she realizes “hey I have a job! I’m a podcast producer” and Bev Melon wants to pick her brain on some podcast ideas. I hope Bev is not the killer cause she seems kind of like a girls girl here. She says “let’s see if we can pass the Bechdale Test while talking to Mabel- which is of corse if 2 female characters are on screen and talk about something other than a man. And they did pass the Bechdale test- or the bechamel test as my boyfriend and I call it sometimes because I’m Greek and we love pastitsio.

Anyway- Charles is really trying to figure out the murder board and he thinks he’s got the How totally figured out until Marshall points out that it would be nearly impossible for someone to do all of this within the 12 minute timeframe that Charles has proven- the killer would need to have superhuman strength… which leads Charles to thinking it was 2 killers and not just one.

I was convinced it was at least 2 killers all season- but I think the Jack Jonk clue and Rudy with his workout videos makes me think maybe it was just a strong person watching Rudy’s videos… but who knows!

What did we learn?

Well- we know the killer’s footprint was the same as one of the Brother’s sisters… but I don’t know that it was both of them just because they show the scene in this episode AND that scene was in the trailer… plus it looks like someone’s after the Brother’s sisters too. So as much as I thought it was them at first… I think next week there may be a case against it being them… that doesn’t mean it’s not them at all- but… it could be.

Some other questions I have…

What did Sazz find out about the movie? What was wrong with it?

Why does Glen Stubbins keep stepping on rats???

Is Charles committing Tax Evasion????

Other moments I liked

I wrote down a lot of the moments as I talked about before… these Jonk jokes are really funny. “The jonk jonked my jonk till I jonk” and the “you can hear them high hoing” totally great.

I also love Glen Stubbins even more than I loved Ben Glenroy and I loved that he called Zach Galifinakis Mr. Anafalaxis… great.

I’m also wondering who got shot when Howard cries out “they’ve been shot!” And who did the shooting!

Bye!
