Books I read in March 2024
Alright! I read 4 books this month and they were actually a little bit longer than what I have been reading- 2 books over 400 pages and no graphic novels this month.
So I started with 2 books in the Addicted and Calloway sisters books. Addicted For Now- which is the third book in the Addicted Series and the first book in the Calloway sisters series Kiss The Sky. I really loved Addicted For Now, but I kind of wished I had waited a bit to read Kiss The Sky after. I didn't like Rose and Connor's relationship as much as Lily and Lo... but they're so different and I had read Kiss The Sky right after reading 2 addicted books in a row... so I would sort of recommend waiting a bit before starting Kiss The Sky... but also Rose and Connor are the worst couple. I'm reading Hothouse Flower now and shockingly I love Daisy and Ryke.
Anyway back to what I read in March, after those I decided to take a break from the Calloway family and read You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight- a YA Thriller by the amazing Kalynn Bayron. I thought this was a fun read- I just kind of wish there was a little bit more. I liked the characters, I liked the camp setting, I wish things were a little more developed. This is clearly a great book because I just want more of it now... so it's not perfect but it is a really good book!
And last but definitely not least: Butcher and Blackbird! This is a dark romance about 2 friends who happen to be serial killers- but it's okay because they only kill other serial killers and horrible people... and they have a chance encounter, become best friends, have a contest together every year and then they eventually get together. I really liked this book- I just kind of wish there was more conflict. Besides the dangers of what they do- there wasn't a whole lot of conflict besides that. Which I do kind of like because this is a very light and fluffy dark romance... but that's not exactly how I'd call it. The spicy scenes in this book were also really really good. I liked the ending too. There's a long list of trigger warnings at the beginning of the book- but it's not as bad as it sounds.
So that was everything I read in March. I've already started 2 books for April and I'm trying to do a reading challenge so... I'll talk about that tomorrow.
Bye!
