Book it Challenge- January 2024
So earlier today- I wrote a throwback Thursday on discontinued products- and one thing I mentioned was the way Pizza Hut was in the 90s and how I used to go there when I got the free personal pan pizza from the Book It program- where you read 4 books a month and I think you wrote a little summary about it or something on a bookmark. I think you just needed to get your teacher to sign it and then you got your free Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut- which my mom and I would go to usually on days I had off from school. They also used to have cool toys at Pizza Hut too!
So I told my boyfriend we should do this- try to read 4 books a month and then treat ourselves to pizza. I don't know if he's on board for this- but that's what I'm going to try to do!
So I'm going to pick out 4 books now and I'll update if anything changes next month and give a summary on them!
So first off I want to read the book I just got from Barnes and Noble which is from a local author and I got a signed copy of it: Fire and Flight by Brianna R Shaffery! This is a fantasy book- and it sounded pretty good. There are 2 more books in this series too.
Next up: this blog ok I've started already- this is kind of a smut book it's a Sapphic love story and it's called Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner. This is good so far- I should finish it this month!
Next up I kind of want to read The Honeys by Ryan La Sala. I think this is a horror book- I don't know much about it but I follow Ryan on TikTok and I know there's an Applebees scene that sounds good.
And last but not least I think I'll reread The Lightning Theif because I started watching Percy Jackson and The Olympians and I definitely want to read more from Rick Riordin and from the series.
Alternate:
I can't lie I have some trouble committing to books so I'm going to maybe list a couple of alternates here.
Clown in a Cornfield 2 by Adam Cesare- the first book is one of the only books I've read this year... so I should read this one.
Also Matthew Perry's Autobiography is one I'd like to read and it's pretty short... so I can do that.
Okay that is everything! I will update you on how many books I read and if this helped and if I get my personal pan pizza... or any other kind of pizza- not from Pizza Hut.
Bye!
