Book/ Movie Haul

Alright- I’ve been buying a lot of books lately and I just figured I’d share them. I also got a few DVDs and a record so… yeah. Amazon and Target have had buy 2 get one free sales so thats been what I’ve been doing for the most part!

Alright so I guess Ill start out with movies. I’ve had Invisible Man on my list for target for a while, and I was going to buy it for free shipping- but when it said buy 2 get one free I decided to get Gretel and Hansel and The Craft with it also. The Craft I’ve had recorded on my dvr and then deleted for a while… and I’ve wanted to watch it so I figured it was a good time with the deal. I saw Invisible Man in theaters and Gretel and Hansel is apparently visually stunning and one of my favorite horror reviewers favorite movies so… I wanted to pick it up and watch it.

I also got Encanto because… I love encanto. This I got on 4K and it had lithographs… so that was cool.

I ordered Mars Attacks because it’s going off of Netflix soon and it’s probably my favorite Tim Burton movie. It scared the crap out of me as a kid- but now I love the campiness of it.

I ordered The Babadook too because it’s not on streaming anymore and I wanted to see it.

The record I ordered was Spice World by The Spice Girls. I’ve had this in my cart forever I think the price just dropped so I got it.

Now for books...

I got Why We Sleep Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker. I think I heard Taylor Wynn talk about this one… I have a lot of self help or non-Fiction information type books I’ve gotten recently… and it takes me a while to get through them cause a lot of it to me is a sales pitch… but I wanted to give this a try and see if I like it.

I also got The Shining by Stephen King. My boyfriend is trying to read every Stephen king book this year and I’m trying to read a few at least. I also want to read Little Women and if you watch Friends- you know why I’m reading them at the same time.

And I got Where The Crawdads sing by Delia Owens. I’ve heard a lot about this book- someone I bumped into at target said it was bad though… so hopefully it’s okay at least.We’ll see.

I also got the mindf*ck series by S.T Abby. I heard this was a booktok recommendation that sounded EXACTLY like what I’ve wanted to read for now… so that’s why I picked it up.

And at Target I got The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. This is a popular book right now and it looked cute. I wanted to give it a read.

I also got The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas. This just looked like a fun book and I’ve heard good things about it. It’s not the most talked about book on Booktok- but I have a feeling it’ll be good.

And the last book I got with the deal was The City We Became by NK Jemison. This was one I think my boyfriend and I looked at almost bought and then didn’t… so we Decided to get it that day. I don’t know a lot about it… but it sounded good.

Alright- that’s everything I think. I want to try to read more and give you some reviews of these books!
