Bond 45 Food Review

Alright so I did go to NYC to see Hadestown this weekend so this whole week will likely be about that... this is what I thought of the restaurant I went to: Bond 45!

I really liked the food and the atmosphere. It wasn't stuffy- it's right on Times Square near a lot of broadway shows and things to do... so there are families- but it's not too out of control and noisy and the food is really really good.

Some cool things about Bond 45- there's a secret speakeasy with a burlesque show. I don't know exactly what days it runs and when it starts- and I didn't go there but it looks pretty fun. There's also live music every Monday and Tuesday. I went on a Saturday- but I liked the food enough that I would go back probably on one of those days just to see.

So I forgot to take pictures of our appetizers and drinks and stuff... but we got the Garlic Bread with Burrata, the Mozzarella stick which is 12 inches. I bit into the mozzarella stick and I was just like "oh yeah- this is a good mozzarella stick." And that was my reaction to most of the food. I didn't eat that day really... so I think it was especially delicious because we hadn't eaten but still. The burrata was very fresh mozzarella cheese and it went really well with the garlic bread- which was delicious on its own.

We also got Espresso Martinis- Which livened us up. It was really good.

For our main meals I got the Vodka Rigatoni. I love Vodka sauce- so I really wanted to try this and it didn't disappoint. It came with really good bacon and the breadsticks on top of it tasted really good.

My boyfriend got a Chicken Parm that was thinly sliced and came out like a pizza basically and that was also really good. He got his with pepperoni which were in little pepperoni cups... it was really really good.

You could also order a side of the Spaghetti with pomodoro sauce. I thought that might have been the highlight... it tasted really really good and fresh and it is on the menu itself- so you could definitely order that as an entree... it's really really good. I would recommend that if you're vegetarian.

For dessert we got the twin cannolis... which were okay. They were delicious but I wasn't that much a fan of the outer crust... it almost tasted like a Brûlée.

It's also good to note our server was very attentive and asked if the bacon was okay with my rigatoni dish- so you could make that vegetarian also. They also have a bathroom for all genders there and it was really nice. It was very private still- so there were all stalls and they had some nice soaps, lotion, and mouthwash even. They also had plenty of toilet paper stocked up in the bathroom and you could change it yourself if you need to... which I found home-y... so I did not mind changing it myself!

Alright that is everything!

Here's some Pictures of the food we got. I have the rigatoni packed up for my lunch today and I'm so ready for it!

Bye!
