Bachelorette Breakdown: Katie's Biggest Break Ups

Okay- so there have been... a few memorable break ups on the Bachelorette lately... so instead of going through all the dates the way I usually do with the Bachelorette Breakdown's... I'm going to just talk about her Big Break Ups and maybe I'll talk about the hometown dates too. Anyway... yeah that's it. Let's start with Connor B.

Connor B.

It's been a while since I've done one of these... but I thought hey why not- let's just talk about the break up with the Cat Guy Connor. He seems like a nice guy... I'm starting to like him a little less and less but... I don't think it's his fault. I'm sure he's an okay guy... I hope Paradise goes well for him but with the Producer Planted Edited Kiss from a Stranger in the Audience moment... who was wearing a mic the whole time... anyway yeah with that... I think he walked away from Paradise alone and I hope he's okay.

Anyway he and Katie had a strong connection- I think she was planning on giving him the first impression rose for the gimmicky cat costume... she said she couldn't stop thinking about him- she thought he was the guy for her... but then he kissed her and it was bad. I don't necessarily think it was that Connor B is a bad kisser... I think maybe it's been a while since he's kissed someone. They had to quarantine for a while before going on the show... I feel like maybe he was Thirstin for Thurston and when he kissed her... he MADE OUT with her. Hard. And she said there was something missing in their kissing and she liked him but the connection wasn't there and she had to send him home.

You KNOW you're going home on the bachelor or bachelorette when they bring you on a date with other people on it. Katie was on a date with Matt James and Tyler Cameron. Connor was on a date with Kaitlyn and Jason... so yeah. She sent Connor Home and then Blake came to her room to cheer her up with a make out sesh... So that was a good little part of the episode.

Andrew S

I definitely thought Andrew was going to hometowns... he and Katie had a strong connection. They seemed to mesh well together on their one on one moments and I definitely thought she wanted him to go to Fantasy Suites at least... but not as much as she wanted Justin in Fantasy Suites I guess... She said she didn't quite feel as strong of a connection with him as the other guys and she couldn't meet his family knowing that she wasn't going to pick him in the end. It was a rough breakup. He went to her room the next day and left a note saying if she changed her mind- he'd be waiting... BUT THEN she changed her mind- asked him to stay... and he said NO. So... that kind of sucked. I get that he just wanted to be the Kelley Flannigan of the season- but... idk. It seemed a little iffy for me. Not totally iffy I get what he meant... but he's not who I would want most of all as the next Bachelor.

Michael A

Michael... the single dad that stole everyone's hearts... this breakup is sad. So his son wasn't going to be able to make it for Hometowns because of the pandemic. He called up his dad and he's 4 years old so he didn't think "Ohh my dad's on a work trip" or something. He thought "Why doesn't my dad want to see me." And you could see Michael trying to hold it together on the phone and he broke down IMMEDIATELY after hanging up. Like the tears in his eyes were real. My heart was breaking and... it was just sad. He went to Katie's room immediately and he said he wanted to be with her- but he just couldn't stay if his son was feeling like this.

On The Men Tell All and on Social Media Michael A has been pretty flirty with Katie and... he's said it's hard to get over her. There's also some Buzz about him being the next Bachelor and I would LOVE to see him as the next bachelor... but who knows. There's still another Bachelorette Season and Bachelor in Paradise to get through. Let's say someone like Ivan gets a really good edit in Bachelor in Paradise and people want him as Bachelor- it could totally happen- if he's single still. Plus we don't know who Michelle's Men are yet... It's a little too early to tell in my opinion- but I have a feeling there could be 2 bachelor seasons the way they're doing 2 bachelorette seasons and I think it would be a good idea for them to pick Michael A.

Hometowns

So I'm going to talk a little bit about Blake and Justin's hometowns before talking about Greg's hometown and their breakup. I'll just chat about it a bit.

Blake

Blake went first and he gave Katie a taste of what Canada looked like. He gave her Maple Syrup and played Hockey with her and balloon darts. Katie had a nice, easy time and she was excited to meet his mom and sister... who were both lovely ladies. The sister kinda razzed Blake a little cause he was in love with Clare and then Tayshia and now it's Katie. I think this is just Blake's personality. I think the guy wears his heart on his sleeve... but it's like in very big bold letters that are easy to read. He just seems passionate and he definitely went on the show for Katie and he loves her... but he didn't say I Love You to her because its a scary thing to say and he doesn't want to put that lightly.

Katie also stated on hometowns that she didn't tell any of the men she loved them because she didn't think it was fair. She didn't want to say it till the end. That's how it probably should be..and this comes up later.

Justin

I love Justin... but he probably shouldn't be on the show at this point. He's hot though, plus his sense of humor and his poetic mind definitely add to his sexiness factor. It seems like she's going to break up with him next week... but I think she might take him to Fantasy Suites. If Justin is there... why wouldn't you take him to Fantasy Suites.

They showed a convo with his parents on the phone where they said they weren't going to be on the show. They didn't think he could be in love with her after only a few weeks and didn't think he was ready to get engaged.

They did meet up with Justin's two best friends and they were really good dudes that really loved Justin and I think they wanted what's best for him... it seemed nice. I think there were segments of his date that were cut and I don't think he's really been given that great of an edit to be in the final 2 so... she might break up with him next week... I'm not sure.

Greg

Greg gives Katie a Pork Roll and Cheese... and then breaks her heart. Their date portion was cute... the producers got to use the rain machine again. His family seemed nice... and Katie kept saying that she wasn't going to say "I love you" to any of the guys until there was only one guy left. She called Greg a frontrunner and said "he will be here next week," and I think... that's kind of meaningless- she could easily keep all the guys but... she really loves Greg she'll just do just about anything but say it.

Greg... I got kind of mad at during this scene because... I think he's manipulative. I don't necessarily think. I literally just posted that I kind of started to like him because he gave Katie Pork Roll and Cheese- a New Jersey Delicacy- but then after he started like accusing her of not loving him.... he sounded like a jerk and I posted "He can keep his pork roll and cheese! He's a jerk!"

I've heard this part of the episode was triggering to some people... so trigger warning... although I don't remember exactly what was said so I won't really be posting it... but he was basically saying he loved Katie so much that he didn't see how she couldn't love him back. It was unfair that she was still... doing the thing she was contractually obligated and paid to do and that he signed up for. So... yeah I was mad. Also because I personally did not think Greg was in love with her... I think he just wanted to be on for his career and maybe to be The Bachelor. Chatty Broads and Bachelor Fantake went into it in better details... I do think maybe Greg is still hurt from his dad's passing... I don't totally think he knew all that he was doing was toxic... but I don't think that's a good way to show what love is... I think he was a jerk and I just... wasn't a fan. I'm interested to see if he's on After the Final Rose... Idk if I want him to be or not... this might be uncomfortable to watch. This breakup was uncomfortable.

I saw it with my parents too and I told them I thought he was being a jerk... and they agreed. My mom played her tiny violin for Greg... None of us know Greg obviously... New Jersey is small- we probably know someone who knows someone who knows Greg because... that's how New Jersey is... but based on the show... I'm not a fan. He's the reason why I didn't date Jersey guys in college.
